    That's over 4 billion, not 4 million...

I guess he's just really thankful.

If you get that many thanks, then no fun in continuing the account. Just close it :). BTW, that was a system bug...

I had over four billion, and when it went so far, it just started again. So like what you see now has a few billion on it.

Good catch, I guess when numbers start getting that big you can't even count.

One explanation from the one who actually got 4+ billion thanks:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/337823-how-possible.html#post3096436

    Another one:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/283515-4-billion-thanks-oo.html
And nicely explained by HoNeYBiRD thru a link here:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/283515-4-billion-thanks-oo.html#post2550660

    Quoting that link:

The above explanation is for the 4+ billion posts-count, but the principle would be similar for the 4+ billion thanks-count imo.

    P.S.:

BHW member TheMasterOfMoney explains it better here:

It's happened more often than you'd think, actually, though it hasn't happened in quite a while. It's an issue where the user has a post in the mod queue (which doesn't add to their postcount) in a forum that does add towards postcount. When a mod deletes the post, it subtracts 1 from the postcount, which would take it from 0 to -1...but postcount doesn't accept negative numbers, so it wraps around to 232 - 1 (4,294,967,295).
