Hey everyone! You can just read the bold text to get a feel for what I'm typing if you don't want to read all the details. So I have been bouncing around a bit trying different methods, testing the waters. I have found a pretty big niche but for some pretty highly searched keywords, there's like no competition, only like one PR4 site and 2 PR2s. I have used a 100 dollar voucher I have received from BHW to test my website conversion (gathering e-mails) and I noticed it was pretty low, but I have damn near perfected it now. I was also surprised to see how many visits my site got from an adwords campaign alone, I thought everyone just ignored that. Then again, that number was small compared to the impressions, so I know I will generate ALOT more traffic when I'm in the top 3. I have everything set up, facebook, twitter, website, and youtube videos. I want to invest some cash into this now, I can only invest like $100-200 in July (or more depending on how hard I sell some websites) then I can invest 4k in late August. For the $100-$200 investment in July, would it be smart to invest in a series of Press Releases offered by this BHW service? And for the 3k investment, ofcourse i don't want to dump all this in and the whole thing is a flop, but what should I try, to see if this niche is gonna work, before I do invest too much? More info about what I intend to do. The main goal of my website is to get user e-mail opt-ins and fire out weekly newsletters with the products I'm promoting. Some of the keywords I'm trying to rank for do have some high rollers like Amazon, best buy, etc etc, but other keywords are clear of these guys and may have only one smaller authority, and these kws still get alot of search volume, according to adwords. What am I doing now? Well I have optimised my website pretty damn good for offsite SEO (according to IBP program). I released 2 YT vids (although I know you guys say release a few millions for best results, but I dont have the tools to get this done automatically nor the money to purchase. Maybe I can invest a bit in this?) and pumped them up a bit with some comments, likes, views, but they are receiving very little attention, and I followed all the guidelines for YT optimization. I have Facebook page and Twitter setup, and im going to expand my twitter page a bit with some free followers (god i hate twitter) but since YLHs dropped facebook, it might take me a while to expand that (again, i wont mind investing in a few "startup" fans). I just submitted my site to bing and yahoo (already in g00gle), and I think thats about it. OH, I did very very little backlinking. I tried piggy backing off the sites that are currently in the top 10, but there are so few, (except that one site, but those are blogrolls or other backlinks embedded into articles of other sites) I guess i can try to find some more commentable sites. Hell, I even made an android app to take e-mails from those who just happen to see my app on the phone. Im obsessed with my excel spreadsheet, and if I can build my e-mail list, I know I can get some great income (in about 6 months), even with all possible variables set to the "low as hell" setting (except the actual number of subscribers). Soooo... What would you do? Am I on a good track? What would you have done differently?
