I created my subreddit in the outdoors niche a week ago. I currently have 57 subs. I have made over 10 crossposts in around 10 different subreddits. yesterday I was at 18 subs. It just takes time. The OP posted a subreddit in the Adult niche and thats going to have way faster results. Im not sure you can really hit 20k on a SFW subreddit in a month but its not impossible. You definitely wont do it with only one hour a day.

You have to join the subreddit and attempt to crosspost. You can also search the subreddit and see if they have other Crossposted posts and thats a good indicator that they do allow crossposting. most subreddits under 100k will allow it as they are still trying to grow. I find that subreddits above 100k subs are more likely to moderate heavily and not allow crossposting. I would say above 1 million will most likely not allow crossposting.

You only have 8 posts in your subreddit. People will actually check out the subreddit and see if its good. When they come to your subreddit, do they see a custom subreddit flush with rich, niche content? Also, you crossposted a single post to 4 different subreddits from one account most definitely looks spammy. There is a little link on the crosspost that says something like "this discussion is in x other places" People click that and see the same person crossposted it to 4 different subreddits and wig out. I know this because I have had this done on me lol.

I would start out with making 5 reddit accounts. Let them age for a week. Build up karma on those accounts for a few weeks. How is also a good time to take your main account and scout out subreddits you can crosspost to. You simply join a subreddit and attempt to crosspost to that subreddit. If you see the subreddit clearly (not grayed out) then you can crosspost to it. Don't actually crosspost to it at this point. I would then slowly add the accounts to your subreddit and start interacting with your own subreddit with those accounts for about a week. After that, I would use the accounts that have good karma and are around a month old to cross post. you have 5 accounts that can crosspost to other subreddits. Remember the rule of 10:1. Make 10 comments and non promotional posts before you crosspost one of your own. I wouldn't crosspost more than once to the same subreddit from your subreddit per day. Its better to have more subreddits to crosspost to than to post to one subreddit multiple times.

It sounds like all your accounts were shadow banned from not properly warming them up.

With this tactics you will grow slower than grass not even talking about HUGE amounts of work you need to do. Is it long term? Yes.. is it worth your time? Depends. You can build a great subreddit but the moment you start promoting something you can get fcked by some vigilante moral justice warriors.

You don't need to look "legit".. crosspost with multiple accounts. You don't need the 1/10 rule. I usually crossposted with 4 accounts, each account doing 3-4 crossposts about the one and same post/day.

that could work fine for some niches, other niches, they wont even let you post. or they will ban you for spam.

It was a very useful post on Reddit.

my subreddit is growing but very slow, at moment i have 340 subs in a week of crossposting, is getting about 25~50 new subs per day

I have many accounts but I always got time delay when use different accounts to crosspost

It is a great reminder to people looking to get traffic from Reddit that the best way to promote on that platform is not through direct links.

When people post content that goes directly to their site, all bets are off.

Depending on the subreddit you post your content on, you might get roasted alive!

Redditors, on average, are very anti-spam; they're very suspicious of any kind of promotional motive.

Right or wrong, people accuse members who share even the most innocent-looking content of somehow “spamming.”

But if you're going to be promoting your subreddit, people tend to be more forgiving.

Again, this depends on which subreddits you are posting on.

I suggest that if people want to try this technique and join all sorts of subreddits so they can promote their own subreddit, stick around for much longer before you drop links to your subreddit.

What I mean by that is participate—be a genuine member of the community.

Share the best content from many different sources that you could find—this type of content will make or break your reputation.

If people can see that you genuinely care about their community, they are going to give you the benefit of the doubt when it comes time for you to promote your subreddit.

Outside of that, you're always going to have this target on your back because people are sick and tired of spam on Reddit.

And, sadly, too many people have gone overboard.

They have become paranoid of any kind of self-promotional benefit when people post.

So be very careful.

Tried this method before the day ran out yesterday and got my first 2 members and got banned from the subreddit

It actually work but I have the issue of the niche that has a lot of subreddit and allows crossposting...anyways good method

Can you crosspost from the account that created that post? Like "I created a post that might be interesting for some subreddits and I'm going to crosspost there too". Or do you only have to do it from other reddit accounts?

Do the accounts used for crossposting have to have a lot of karma? Or does that not affect it?
Can you crosspost posts published in previous days or do you have to do it only for new posts?
