301 without hosting.

I have a bunch of expired domains that I bought a while ago. They're all fairly authoritative, or were when they were hosted some years ago. They all have decent domain and page authority and each one has at least one PR5 backlink pointing to the root domain and most are relevant to my niche(s).

Currently they are just sitting there doing nothing, other than the ones I have used for a small private blog network; but what I'm wanting to know is if it's possible to redirect these sites from their parked state to my sites without having to host them? I know namecheap and godaddy (I think) have the ability to 301 redirect in the DNS admin without hosting, but is it worth it? Will the 'juice' that these domains have, or had, pass through without the site being hosted with content?

I know most of you will say 'just host them on a cheap hosting plan', which I could do, but lets say for sake of argument that that isn't an option.

I kinda found an answer to this - Just in case anyone else finds this query on search - what I did was open a sub directory on the site I was wanting to 301 to, hosted my domain within that, pointed my NS to there and gave it its own htaccess file from the root. From there I did the usual 301, and Roberts your fathers brother. Not sure if having this subdomain 301 on the same server will affect me in any way, but meh, seo's all about trial and error.

I'll update this if I have any luck with the 'juice' passing through. If not, then it's just me talking to myself in a dark corner of BHW mumbling like an idiot.
