Hi guys, i have a website in 1st page and it's a new domain, just 3 weeks old, maybe 1 or 2 week later it's will be out 1st page. Now i wanna 301 to old domain for keep ranking in 1st page. So how about that guys? i thinks it's will be okay with method.

Based on my knowledge, I don't think 301 will help you to maintain your ranking in first page. You can try some other methods to improve your ranking.

I don't recommend 301 redirections which may affect your website rankings.

I see no point in you doing this, and no, it's not really safe.

This might not be a good idea and could cause problems with search engine, instead just try to focus on making the new site better by adding good stuff to it and getting more websites to mention it.

Use this redirection for future mate and don't use it now

A 301 redirects have many uses when it comes to SEO. So, use them calculatedly, where you could see some gains in organic traffic, and make sure there are no existing problems with 301 redirects on your website, as these could affect your current and future SEO efforts.

Not safe TBH

I think you lose the rankings when you 301, I don't recommend it
I have new sites started last year, both have 301 redirect from niche related expired domain. I didn't lose anything and in fact I am seeing slight increase in views since 03/05/2024.

If you repurpose domain for same niche you shouldn't be punished. If you buy 1000 domains of different niches and point them to your casino website there will be different results.

you redirected expired domains, he wants to redirect his (fresh and ranking) site to something else, and in this case he will lose the rankings of the existing site. I think these are different scenarios.

that's because your actual and current site is benefiting from the authority of those expired domains, but in this guy's case he wants to 301 an already ranking site to "an old domain" (I'm not even sure that he has a site on that old domain, he didn't mention, he only said "old domain" and that's up for interpretations until he clarifies, but I didn't feel like asking for details so I gave a generic reply, still as accurate as possible, of course.)

If you repurpose domain for same niche you shouldn't be punished.
again, different scenarios. Repurposing domain (expired I assume that you mean) for same niche is fine, but he doesn't say anything about repurposing, he only asks about 301-ing his ACTUAL site to "old domain" (which might, or might not have a site on it), and in this case he will most likely lose his ACTUAL rankings.

I hope this makes sense...

If you buy 1000 domains of different niches and point them to your casino website there will be different results.
with the current update this is most likely true :)
