I just found a bunch of domain names that are available for registration and have some very good authority links.

My question is, how many is too many? I'd like to 301 these domains and their links to my site. So far I've found about 10 of them... A few of them would be PR3-4 pages linking.

Should I 301 a few of them? None of them? All of them?

I wouldn't do more than about 4. 10 might raise some flags. Also, make sure they are relevant.

Good video..... and I have a sort of related question that I'm having trouble finding an answer for.

I have a PR3 site that I'm not really using. Does it make sense to do a 301 to a more useful site or should I leave it alone and maybe just throw a couple links to a few of my sites on the juiciest pages.

    Thanks!

This is very important. If the domain you are redirecting has a lot of anchored links that aren't relevant to your site, Google can get confused as to what you should be ranking for.
I have seen sites loose rankings after doing a 301 from irrelevant domains. My advice would be to just throw up a page or two, and link to your site from the homepage instead.

use the internet way back machine to pull the original content, put it all back up, replace all outgoing links with whatever you like, monetize the sites if they get good traffic

Good video, but it doesn't answer his question.

The video is about a 301 from 1 site to 1 other site. The question was about several sites redirecting to 1 site. And I have basically the same question.

I have several sites (PR3/4) I want to take down and forward all the juice to 1 brand new site. All sites are relevant.

Is that possible? Can you put a 301 on several sites to 1 other site?

Yes, it is possible to do a redirect of several websites to one specific website.

I actually do that myself. I have five 301 redirects to one domain.

Just login to cpanel and go to REDIRECTS and enter the details, or if you prefer just edit the .htaccess file for each of the domains you want to forward.
