Ok guys here is the deal i'm using a windows server and i would like to do a 301 redirect from my domain to an affiliate offer now i don't want to do a meta refresh as many search engines filter out the meta refresh tag, so it is not a search engine friendly option.

So i checked this guide out and saw this code

internetbasedmoms.c0m/seo/301-redirect-windows-server.html

Now the domain i want to redirect is default .html
and not a . ASP page.

So my question is do i have to rename the default.html to default.asp

in order for the redirect to work or should i be using a different redirect code altogether?

I hope i'm making sense here lol

Ok I figured it out on my own : what i really wanted to do was use a 301 redirect on my existing .html page but it seems that a metarefresh was the only option and i already explained why i'm not going down that route. So i'm just going to create a .asp page and redirect that (which by the way is going to be a pain seeing that i'm going to have to change all links i placed on different site web 2.0 sites Bummer .:rain:
