Did anyone ever try this? I am planning on buying a domain with PR and good amounts of backlinks and then 301 redirect to a PPD/CPA YT video. After youtube deletes my video just use the same domain and redirect to the next..

I'd be interested to know this as well as I haven't tried it personally but have had some success with 301ing in the past (to my own domains). If Youtube works then most likely other parasites work as well, like Blogspot etc. Anyone?

I have had hit and miss results with this. Redirected to a youtube site and it ranked top 10 for a few weeks, then slowly went down.

The only reason to use 301 redirects is for a target safety (avoid to be penalized the Main site). In case with YouTube videos You just don`t need that (at least for now), moreover the backlinks effect is much more low with 301R use, so You really don`t need that. A particular case could be the use of very good old domain with existing good PR and DA from the niche, which may give You benefits, but I seriously doubt that worst.

The reason for using 301 redirects is that in the niche i am in my videos get removed after 1 week - few months usually, and after that I would just redirect the domain to the next video. Also I tried mass spamming with GSA for YT ranking and I had no success, I also tried a tiered link building campaign and had no success with it too..

I too am very curious as to whether or not this would do anything.

    Keep us posted.

My guess is a temporary benefit. Another consideration would be how serious of an infraction, or any backlash. What keeps the Google police from monitoring all these neat tricks and blocking any kind of potential success. Guess it might last for a little while. Don't seem Sustainable....

We have an interesting discussion ehre boys. I too tried many times to simply blast the youtube video and as otehrs have said some fucker would flag the video after only a week or two and get them removed, so the 301 redirect to keep your previous work is another good point i hadnt consideerd.

also the many times i tried i couldnt see a difference in ranking when i deirect blasted. i tried many times too, with tons of links as well. so i dont know what is wrong there. altho back then i wasnt getting my links indexed whcih i am now so maybe ill try again sometime.

the only main thing that got me rnaks was vagex views- in youtube rnak at least. does backlinks affect the youtube rnak or just google rank cos my experience is it never affected youtube rank.

Yes backlinks only affect your videos rank in Google.com and Google videos search engine.

Update: Bought a PR2 domain with a DA+PA+CF+TF=72 and 800 natural looking backlinks for $10, site is indexed and I checked on waybackmachine it looks like it was a natural site, but it is not really related to the content. I am going to 301 it later on. My plan now is to fire up GSA and build as many links as possible to it, after I reach lets say 10k indexed links I will 301 it to my YT video and see how it goes.

You are right with every word that you said, however YouTube videos don't last forever, They can be taken down for flags, fake views, etc. 301 is a good way of not losing all you link building work.

Interested in seeing how it goes out for you. :)
I am able to rank YT videos with mass spamming with GSA. Maybe it's because there's little competition for my niche. :)

Update: Youtube video got banned without even boosting it, I am quitting youtube for now as my videos get removed very fast. I decided to 301 redirect the domain to a .blogspot blog which is currently sitting on page 2 for a non competitive keyword with around 1500 searches.

I built 15k verified links in GSA for the PR2 domain and bought 30k links for $15 because I don't have a big list. So far only 2k indexed links show up on ahrefs, but whatever I am going to redirect it right now. I will update this in a few days if there are results or not!

Update: could not belive my eyes today, my keyword jumped from page 2 straight to #2! and #1 is only a youtube video! seems like 301 redirects are really powerful, I just checked how many exact searches my keyword has and it has 3600 monthly searches! So far I got around 4k indexed links on my PR2 domain. I will create a case study thread soon in which I will try to rank for more difficult keywords with this strategy.
