301 redirect old domain -> new domain - How long for big G .....

    I did 301 redirect from old domain to new domain - How long for big G to figure out the redirect and move link juice from old to new domain ?

    For my site, it took 10-14 days for G to sort out things.

    It took G 4 days :) Now my new domain is ranking everywhere

    Did you just 301 redirect or did you also notify G using the webmaster tools?

    I did a 301 around a week ago on a specific page and it's still showing up in the SERPs on page 2. Some people said old 301s can linger for a year or more, even after G has spidered it. I haven't payed close attention to it until recently.

    Is your old URL still showing up in the index along with the new, redirected page?

    It depends on how frequently google is crawling the site that you're doing the 301 redirect for generally, if it's only crawled once every 3 weeks then that's how long it'l probably take to register.
