    Hey everyone,

my old domain got penalized and I want to 301 redirect it to my new domain.
Does anyone have the 301 redirect code? I tried 301 generators on google but I couldn't get it to work

Use .htaccess or do it from within cPanel

    Code:
    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^olddomain.com [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://newdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.olddomain.com [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://newdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301]

I uploaded it and got this error:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

You can 301 redirect from your domain registrar.

What you are doing is so 2013 I want to sing Macarena.

301 redirects pass penalties, so your new site will get penalized in no time as well.

It's not a good idea. Because redirecting a penalized site will pass its penalty to the new domain thus it will still bear the same penalty.
