ya I was wondering about trying that, I have a site that was in the top 5 and dropped to the 600's and won't get out for 2 months now. I cleaned up the site and wondering if I should just make a new one and 301 to it? anyone try this

301 means your website has moved doesn't it.

We don't know for sure, but with that in mind you don't want Google to think your website has "moved" to the new domain.
