    Hey guys,

I'd like SEO Experts to discuss about 301 re-directs.

I want your views about the below questions which will be helpful for all of us.

Let's take the keyword "samsung LED TV" for which we're building a site samsungledtv.com

We're ranking #20 for the keyword & we'll apply 301 tactics to this site to rank #1.

    1) Would a brand new domain registered today can be used for 301 re-direct to this site after a week?
    2) Should the brand new domain be filled with content & indexed in google to make it eligible for 301?
    3) OR it's fine to just have it blasted with backlinks and redirect it?
    4) Should the anchor texts be relevant to "samsung led tv" or must it be on that topic for the ranks to improve for the particular keyword? OR just random anchor text blasts will do?
    5) How about blasting with xrumer for the new domain & redirecting/do penalties pass thru 301's?

What sort of experience & suggestions you guys have, ( I have some opinions abt this, but wanted to know yours too). Let's share thoughts.

Am no SEO Guru but here's my 2 cents..

    1) Would a brand new domain registered today can be used for 301 re-direct to this site after a week?

YES... I do it all the time but some says it's risky.

    2) Should the brand new domain be filled with content & indexed in google to make it eligible for 301?

Yes, that's a good thing to do. It shouldn't take much effort, hardly 1-2 days with just 1 spunned content.

    3) OR it's fine to just have it blasted with backlinks and redirect it?

I suggest to get it indexed in Google.

    4) Should the anchor texts be relevant to "samsung led tv" or must it be on that topic for the ranks to improve for the particular keyword? OR just random anchor text blasts will do?

Always randomize anchors. Generate 200-400 anchors if you are really blasting that site.

    5) How about blasting with xrumer for the new domain & redirecting/do penalties pass thru 301's?

I don't think penalties pass through 301 but do keep in mind, to randomize keywords or you might just get fucked despite all your efforts.

Someone did a case study here on BHW that I read not long ago, and penalties did pass thru 301 after like a week.

What did you mean by "generate 200-400 anchors"?
Suppose our keyword is "samsung led tv" shouldn't the site being redirected be blasted with the above keyword? If we're blasting it with 200 anchors is there really any use that contributes our ranking to the keyword "samsung led tv"?
