I have had some successes here and there, but I am still probably lacking that last bit of spark to make this a full time job.

I am currently reading a book called the 4 Hour Work Week. Fantastic book. It's already changed my life dramatically. One of the things he tells me to do is to ask 3 questions to someone in the line of field that you are trying to master. Someone that can get you on the right track. I couldn't think of anyone better to ask than the successful guys on BHW (the other big guys are also hard to contact :)). Here are they:

    (1) If you lost everything and had to start over (knowing everything you know now) what would you start doing right now, knowing that what you do would be a fail safe way of making lots of money?

    (2) You must have struggled at some point as well to make your first buck, right? What was the one thing that had the biggest impact on you in earning your first buck online? What was that clincher that pulled you across that first big hill?

    (3) Obviously you are doing well for yourself now and you are confident in most new ventures you pursue, because you have had a lot of success until now. What would you tell someone like me who haven't had a lot of success yet? How could you help create hope and belief in someone who struggles to believe that he can also make a living online?

    Thanks in advance!

    3. You have to belive in yourself and keep working. I made 30 cents a month, then 30 dollars, then 300, then 3000, and on and on. It takes years to come up but by the time you make it you will know everything you need to know.

    1) SEO, PPC, Classifieds, Social Networking, Media Buys (Diverify your marketing efforts). If I had two choices it would be SEO and Classified though.

    2) Perserverance- the only reason people don't make it is A) They are just not cut out to be a business person or B) They give up. I tried making money for 7 years online before I made it full time, and after that it took me a few years to really make the kind of money that makes a huge difference.

    3) IM is like any other business. It is a lot of who you know. You can have a ton of skills and make money, but the real money comes from relationships. Build them, cultivate them, cherish them. They will make you lots in the end. Here is a hint. Skype and Yahoo Messenger are great conduits to making money online.

    Interesting questions.

    1. Google places and media buys

    2. Outsourcing

    3. Don't give up and don't feel like you have to buy every ebook or flashy program out there to make some money. Keep things simple and focused as you start out.

    1) Nothing is failsafe. Try something you understand and that makes sense to you. If it fails, you will still learn something. Just because something doesn't make you rich doesn't it mean it was a waste of time. People who are successful don't get there by getting it right the first time.

    2) When I first got started, I tried someone else's method. It worked, but was peanuts. It gave me enough info and insight to look around and I found things that made more sense to me, especially for long term revenue. I wasn't wrong.

    3) First thing I would say, is stop reading books. Also, stop wasting time reading forums, unless you have a specific need for something. Put the knowledge you have to work, and do something. Expand your knowledge by your own experience, not someone else's. The knowledge you gain by your own trial, error, success and overall experience will generally take you much farther than anything you read by someone else.
