The quote goes, "Don't divide the fur of an undead bear", but I'm just trying to figure something out.

I'm working on a website, let's say for the sake of the argument I'm targeting computers. I am building a local directory.

It has 30 categories. Categories include, "Printers, Cartridges, Screens, Laptops, etc" pretty much different stores that specializes in different things.

When you click on a category, lets say.. "printers", 3-5 local company logos pop up with there info and a small bio.

So what I charge for is having those 3-5 companies on my site as a, "Go with this company because its the best". Now this is all in the making, but I got a sick domain but my question is...

    I got 30 categories.
    What might go better...

    1. Having 5 companies per category at $50/month (total of $7500/mnth)

    OR

    2. Having 3 companies per category at $80/month (total of $7200)

I mean there is millions of other options... but these are the two options I was debating between...

Less monthly fee, but more competition...
Higher monthly fee, but less competition...

I'd say have 5 categories. I like to have the ability to choose. Maybe the number one spot can pay $80, and number two can pay $65, and the rest $50?

    Here is the thing...
Psychologically people like 3 options rather then 5.
    2 is to little
    3 is perfect
    4+ is to much

but 3 options will cost more to the vendors...
