So, I've been giving out about 2,400 likes per day on a 4 year old Instagram account.
I've been using the FLC method...
I saw that people were being banned, and have toned it down to 1,000 per day.... but is there any real risk on getting
banned on a 4 year old account? Also, couldn't I just get instagram to reinstate it somehow if it does get banned?

In my opinion 2,4k likes per day is too high, and yes you can get banned on a 4 year old account

I've heard that there are ways to get the account reinstated. Is that true?

In my experience, I haven't had much luck getting my account reinstated after contacting them.

I have seen engagement go down. It wasn't great to start with. Someone explained to me that the algorithm means that not everyone sees the photo? Does this mean they get shown based on popularity now? That's annoying. One thing I still don't understand is how people aren't following me anymore. I used to get 100 followers per day. Now, with the same amount of likes I get 30 every 3 days. What's the story there?

About why it dont go up it is because you can follow but others cant follow back and you got ghosted by the app you need to wait like 6 or 12 hours to get it back to normal without refreshing your account too much in a row and it should be fixed, you need to leave long delays in between actions now to avoid this and if you see it doesnt work I would wait a day or two.
