After beeing a proud part of the growting BH community I noticed many people asking for different tools all the time and decided to share this one with you.

Choosing the right marketing tools can save a lot of time and nerves, whereas choosing the wrong might end you up struggling to delete your account again. There are THOUSANDS of tools out there that all promise to improve and make processes easier but only a few can really meet these expectations. To ensure that this doesn't happen to you, we from xamoom have curated a comprehensive list of the marketing tools that we use at xamoom and hope would help you with your business as well.

No matter in which industry you work or at which stage your company is - marketing tools can help you to get more out of your data and to have a neat overview of everything that is happening. A common misconception, however, is that you only need good tools and the rest runs automatically

A fool with a tool is still a fool

Take a look at the 24 marketing tools and resources that help you optimize your marketing efforts:

    Organization/Productivity Tools
    • Podio: Podio is a project management tool that allows you set up work spaces that act as social intranet. You can create tasks, assign people to them and help you to remind yourself or other users of an assignment’s due date. Besides that it can also serve as a CRM tool to track the communication with your customers. More use cases cases can be found here. We are grateful that we got to use the tool one year for free after applying to their sponsorship.
    • Slack: Slack is a tool for internal company communication. The tool coruscates with simplicity and it eliminates clutter by serving as Communication- and Content Hub. Other services can be integrated: Slack serves as ONE messenger service to monitor all channels. Finally Overview! Public and private channels can be created as well as the possibility of private messages. Slack offers a free version, which we use, and paid options. In the free version up to ten integrations are possible – which is perfectly adequate for most teams. In a former blogpost we covered how we use it in more detail.
    • ownCloud: The big advantage of ownCloud is that it syncs your files on your own server. You can share and store files there but without any privacy concerns.
    SEO Tools
    • Screaming Frog SEO Spider: This is one of my favorite marketing tools when it comes to SEO. It provides you with a breakdown of you website and the problems that the software encountered while crawling. Instantly see title tag issues, missing canonicals and url structure. Found a broken link? Just copy the url and you already find the problem.
    • Google Search Console: Google Search Console, or former Google Webmaster Tools, helps you to review how your site is doing in the Google search results. It shows you how Google sees your website and what it thinks that you do good and where improvements are needed.
    • Similar Web: While this marketing tool might not be the most detailed, the convenience makes up for that. It allows users to compare the above metrics for two sites for free through their website, no sign-up required.
    • SEM Rush: Another awesome tool to check competitors but also to find what keyword your website is ranking for or to find out how keywords are performing in general. And again - this service doesn't require a sign-up and can give you details within seconds.
    • Open Site Explorer: While SEM rush focuses on giving a general overview. this free MOZ tool allows you do dig deeper into your inbound links.
    • Google Keyword Planer: This tool allows you to track how keywords perform over a certain time. On this basis you can conclude for which keywords you should or should not rank.
    • Answerthepublic: In a jungle full of keywords a nd search terms, who is better to guide you through it than a bearded guy that is impatient for your entry? The website helps you to find new ideas for a certain keywords in an appealing visualization. After typing in a certain keyword you find words that are related to it.
    Data Analytics Tool
    • Google Analytics: Hands down one of the best marketing tools but also the most comprehensive analytics tool for your website. It helps you track down your website traffic and to see what your visitors are interested in. If you know how to use this tool you don't need anything else to get information about the types of costumers who visit your page.
    Monitoring Tools
    • Brand Mentions: You could also call this tool the Google Alerts for you brand. After typing in your brand's name you can set up notifications that inform you whenever your brand name gets mentioned on Twitter or on the web. This function can also be used to monitor your competition or a certain niche.
    • Google Alerts: Not only is Google Alerts an awesome tool to get notified about trends but also to find new ideas and topics that are related to it.
    • Google Trends:It shows how often a particular search-term is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages.
    Customer Support
    • Google Hangouts: We like it personal and because of that we want to support our customers in the most personal manner that is possible over the web. Google Hangouts permits to have a support video-calls within seconds. Everyone is logged into their Google account and can start a hangout session right in their browser. No software has to be installed. You can invite a person by simply sending them an invite and you are ready to go.
    • TeamViewer: Sometimes picutres and words are not enough. With TeamViewer you can remotely acces another PC and provide support to your customers right on their workstation.
    • Skype: The VoIP service still has a huge user base and is a term to almost everyone. This makes it to a valuable customer support tool even though Google Hangouts has the same functionalities and doesn't require an installation.
    Email Marketing Tools
    • Mail Chimp: The email marketing tool comes with a broad list of list of features such as list management, email templates, campaign analytics and a powerful segmentation. Up to 2.000 emails can be send a month without paying a cent. This makes it a perfect tool for sending out newsletters.
    • Yesware: Customer support can be done in various ways. Yesware is one way of doing it via email templates. We use various templates for onboarding customers depending on the type of customer they are.
    Social Media Tools
    • Tweetdeck: Let's be honest, Twitter can be quite unclear the bigger your account grows. If you still want to keep track of tweets, Tweetdeck can help you with that. It lets you manage your tweet feed and categorize it so you can keep track of certain hashtags or accounts in real time.
    • Followerwonk: Using Twitter as a marketing channel is tough if you don't use it to specifically target your niche. Followerwonk helps you with that by finding people in your niche or that are related to a certain keyword. It can also show when your followers are most active and which users followed or unfollowed in a certain time period.
    • LIkealyzer: Helps you track your Facebook efforts and shows you how you are performing in your niche compared to others.
    Learning Tools

Thanks for the comment. While it might not be the "newest" list I can recommend them without being affiliated to any of them and I use them on a daily basis. Maybe it's not new to everyone but at least it is honest.

Thank you OP. Got a few alternatives of what I've been using.

Majestic/Ahrefs are also must have tools in the SEO category if you wish to do a detailed backlink analysis.

It's certainly a very comprehensive list of resources spanning many aspects of business management. Thanks for putting together a well formatted detailed walk-through of this information. I'm sure there are many services/products our folks will be very familiar with, but I did see some services I'm just learning about now.
