I noticed a lot of instagram bot threads but they're all old, from 2018 and 2017. I had posted my discussion on a different thread in a reply on someone's question on the instagram growth SocialCaptain, but my reply ended up being so long and about different bots that I figured I should post on here and would love to start a discussion about these. I'm kind of a newbie at bots, but I've tried several methods and would like to share my experiences. If you have any tips or advice or warnings about any bots you are using or have tried, please feel free to share!

So far, I am running several instagram bots (testing them back and forth).
Currently, I am running these and watching my growth rates, but I will eventually whittle down to just 2 that I feel would be the best:
1) Robolike - likes bot only, easy and very safe, I have ran this for half a year without any bans or softbans
2) Jarvee - still figuring it out, have it set up and running it on the 7 week free trial, if you have this, I suggest watching "The Best Jarvee Instagram Settings 2019 — Beginner" by Aaron Ward on Youtube

So far, I think I'm really liking #5, and I am trying to decided between #2 or #3, or finding a new bot.

My thoughts on the instagram bots I am trying:

1) Jarvee: I am trying out Jarvee for free right now and it's working for my LinkedIn sending in mass requests, but for my instagram, it was just super complicated for me. I had to watch the Youtube by Aaron Ward, who tells you what to click and stuff and so I followed all that, and I let it run for a day but no growth at all. So I don't know if I screwed up, because the app was really technical for me. Everyone is saying it's great, and I do believe it could be great, but I don't know why it's not working for me. I really wanted to like and do this app, because for $30/month, I can do like 10 apps on it (FB, LinkedIn, IG etc, it seems to be the best money value!) Anyway, I still want to consider this one, because I keep reading about how people love it, so I appreciate if any Jarvee users in this forum can give me tips on how they grew their instagrams on Jarvee. I love the price for it since I can run 10 accounts on it.

2) Robolike: I also tried a free trial over at Robolike which is an only likes app that feels really safe, but the growth felt kind of slow. I bought it as well and ran it for many months, but the growth was suuuuuper slow, like 100 followers a month. I can just do that myself manually, lol. I read on articles that mentioned that fast and long-term growth is better if you're doing the follow/unfollow type of thing. It's cheap at $7.77 USD/month. If you want something super safe and you just want to do likes and a slow growth, this one is good for that.

3) Social Captain: I tried SocialCaptain free trial for a day and it gained me close to 70 followers in 24 hours so I was impressed with that. I just wished it could let me run a 3 day - 7 day trial instead of a 24 hour trial so I could test it out longer to see how it goes a bit longer term to help me with a final decision. I liked how Jarvee lets me run free for 5 or 7 days (not sure which, I'm still running it) and there was another one that was also 3 days. The price is PRETTY HEFTY though at $39/month for 1 instagram account, so I'm not sure if I want to go for that! I liked Jarvee's price better at $30/month for 10 accounts, but again, I found Jarvee really confusing to use whereas SocialCaptain has everything set up easily. I so far was most impressed by SC but 1 day isn't enough to buy me in, I would need a 3 - 7 day trial to test things out to be honest. I did buy a 1 week trial, but if I don't see results, I might drop it.

4) Viral Soda: I had a BAD experience with this one! I went on Viral Soda for a free trial but was disappointed because they had an error where they unfollowed a bunch of my friends even though I told it "not to unfollow my followers", then the site went down for a day which made me mad because I lost a whole day of free trial there. Then they said they have to fix their unfollow error but didn't credit me a free trial day back! It was such a bad free trial experience that I don't even want to go back to it, even if it is fixed. I am guessing it might be a new app, I find that the new ones still need to figure their stuff out before I even want to invest in it.

5) Instazood: Bloggers seem to really love this! I opened it for a free trial and it looked more complicated than Viral Soda so I didn't even bother. Lol. I just am not smart enough to figure out how to configure stuff like this. But I read on some blog that its price is really good at $10/month and again, like I said, it seems like a good thing according to blog reviews.

6) Buying Followers: Where can I buy followers that don't drop? Ugh... I cannot tell you how many times I have bought followers and the quality was horrid. I bought from loads of sites and gave up on that. This was about half a year ago. All non-English speaking fake followers with dead profiles and they all dropped within a few weeks. Yes, I am embarrassed to admit I bought followers. I read that IG just takes them down all the time so there's no point buying them?? I just don't get how some IGers have 10,000 followers and their IG is crap so I bet they bought fake followers, but I'm jealous how they can retain them! I read on a blog that recommended SMMSumo for buying followers, has anyone tried that yet? If I end up buying followers from them, I will talk about it in this thread.

My thought: There is an instagram account that has 46k followers and his IG is total crap. He only updates 1 photo a month, but yet, his instagram grows by 100 followers per day (I can see his growth via SocialBlade). How can someone, who rarely updates his IG, be constantly growing 100 followers per day over the last few years to be hitting 46,000 followers today? If I don't update my instagram even in a few days, my followers drop! So, I want to know what awesome bot he is using!

How to spy on other instagrammers you suspect are botting: You can see any instagrammer's growth and history and see if they're potentially botting or buying followers by searching for them on SocialBlade(dot)com, it's free to use. I use it all the time to spy on my favorite instagrammers.

So this is just my experience so far as an IG bot newbie. Hm, the more I read my post, maybe I"m not such a newbie, haha. Anyway, I'm happy to answer any questions, but I'm really keen on learning and hearing from your experiences too!

I don't know how to PM either, haha! I know how to reply when I get one, I might not have the authority to PM yet, since I'm so new to this forum. I just joined yesterday, but I've been lurking on this website for over a month before finally making an account.

RedwolfAj: Yes, thank you, I have been looking around there and will continue to do so! I was just hoping to hear back from experienced forum users on their thoughts and experiences. I posted a query on follower purchase in the marketplace, but so far only got 2 PMs from websites that looked kind of sketchy and 1 of them had bad reviews, so I sometimes worry about if the sellers are legit or not. I feel like users (especially the regulars on this forum) would be more honest about their experiences. I sometimes see new accounts sprout up recommending services, but I can't help but wonder if those new accounts are actually marketing reps sent by companies.

you can ask for trials and test their panels,if you don't like it just unsubscribe it.
and lots of members in this forums using Jarvee, hope they will review and help you in this.

I figured out how to run Jarvee now. I got 150+ followers in a week. I had to watch "Jarvee 2019 tutorials" on Youtube and that's how I got it set up. So if anyone is stuck on Jarvee, just search the tutorials up on Youtube and there's a guy on there who talks about exactly how to get it running.

Very interesting to read @Alice Synthesis 30 . I have a comment on the guy on IG with that "crap" account. I bought an account a few days ago and I know that guy I bought from uses a chrome extension just to grow accounts. I just don´t know what kind of extension it is but I call tell you he´s gaining about 30k Followers a month.

I bought the account with about 39k Followers and after I had it it kept growing organically with about 2.5k a day! Now it´s at 62k (I had to chang the content/ grows slower now). At the moment it grows about 1k a day.

He told me that it´s a "special extension that´s not available in store". Maybe that IG guy you mentioned uses this as well. Any idea what this might be?

By the way ... I´m using jarvee.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share an experience I've had with SocialCaptain. First off, I am the owner of a new small startup type business that has really started to grow. As a result, we have decided to throw some cash at Instagram to help grow our online presence in the online community and more importantly, automate most of our activity. As a disclaimer, I have zero affiliation with any of these types of companies. This forum seemed to be the only place discussing SocialCaptain and other services I was looking at in an unbiased fashion. I specifically made this account on here to share my current experiences with others looking for answers.

Our overall goal with any of these services is to gain quality followers that might actually have an interest in our products. We are not looking to just spam people 24/7 to gain the maximum amount of followers. After some research, I started to try some of these services. Most of them were garbage. But last week I decided to try ViralSoda. Over the span of that week, everything went pretty well. It is easy to understand and has all the features we were looking for. Price really isn't a major concern for us as long as the service provided is doing what we want. That being said, VS was on the lower end at $14/ month. Nearing the end of the trial, everything had gone well, other than our feed becoming complete trash. But I decided I needed to keep trying other services I had my eye one. I decided to try out SocialCaptain. IMO, the price is high. But I thought if many of the innovative techniques they're claiming actually work, it is well worth the money over paying for ads or someone to run the account.

Late Friday night I signed up for the trial. As another user here stated, I was already not liking the trial only being 24 hours. It just isn't very long to decide to commit or not. But oh well. I soon realized many of the features I wanted to use were not available during the trial. I decided to just let it run overnight. The next day I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the premium plan because I really wasn't getting a full go around with the trial. This was probably a horrible reason to upgrade. But with the fall back that I could ask for a refund within another 24 hours I decided to go ahead. After I received full access with the premium plan, I quickly noticed a major problem.

Where is the Auto DM feature?

Auto DM is a very important feature for us. When new followers are added, I like sending them a personal message thanking them for the follow and reiterating the importance every customer is in a growing business. This message also contains my personal contact information. No product advertising or anything of that nature. Pretty much just a thank you. We do not participate in auto commenting or any other type of spamy features. But the auto DM is something I really like. This feature is blatantly listed on their front page. In fact, it is 1 of 3 of the main features listed. I have attached a screenshot. But feel free to check it out for yourself. I didn't see this feature in the trial. But I thought it was not available due to the trial. Now upgraded to premium, it was still nowhere to be found. After searching and some googling, thinking it was just hiding somewhere, I still didn't have any answers. I tried to contact customer service. But they were not available until Monday morning. So I waited until today and contacted them via the chat. It was immediately confirmed that "we do not offer a Direct Messaging Feature at this point, since we strictly focus on growing your audience, but we do have plans to add that in the upcoming weeks". Unbelievable.

I will let the chat conversation below speak for itself. But I could not believe they would pull something like this. These deceptive business tactics have really turned me off to them all together. How hard would it be to remove this feature from the front page? or better yet, simply state it is a feature that's on the way. This alone would probably have kept me with them until I decided the service wasn't working for us. But now? I don't think so. It's a shame as I did like several things they were offering. The auto mute feature for new followers is especially nice. I hope this is something competitors incorporate in the future. I'm not sure if the AI, advanced targeting stuff really makes a difference just yet as we just didn't have the service long. But if there is any truth to it, I could be a game changer. I informed them that, until today, we were actually prepared to move up to the $99/ month Turbo plan. For now I'll probably pay the modest $14 / month to reactivate Viral Soda while I continue to test out other services.

If anyone has any questions feel free to message me or I'll try to reply to them in here. I'm also welcome to any thoughts or suggestions on this subject. As I said, ViralSoda is the best I've found so far. But we're open to try others. Jarvee is something I'd like to try and tackle. I just haven't found the time just yet.

**I'd also like to add as of this post time, I am still waiting for a refund (giving me time to write this post). Notice in the chat there is no mention of addressing this misleading tactic. Even if they had zero intention of taking it down, you'd think they'd say "they're working on it". Also, no effort to try and retain our business.

CHAT

Me: Hello, I signed up for your premium service this weekend after trying many other services. Only question I have right now is how do I access the auto DM feature for new followers?

SC: Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Maxine from SocialCaptain, here. We do not offer a Direct Messaging feature at this point, since we strictly focus on growing your audience, but we do have plans to add that in the upcoming weeks

Me: **attached screenshot of front page to chat**

Me: So why is this being advertised specifically on your home page, right up front, as a current feature? That is very misleading

SC: yes, I understand appreciate your feedback-- that copy went live a little too early. That feature is still in the works but should be coming soon. Let me know what I can do to make the best of your experience in the meantime!

Me: Well I would think you guys would take this down until it is live. That is pretty shady. I'm the owner of a small start up. We are at the stage where we're ready to spend some money on social media exposure. I really like everything SC has to offer. There are a sea of services like this out there. SC being one of the more expensive options. But our team decided on you guys due to a few features that others are not offering. Specifically the layout, automatic muting, and overall new approach to adding quality followers. We were prepared to flip up to the Turbo plan. But blatantly listing features on your website, on the front page no less, that are not available, is unacceptable and downright false advertising. This is very disappointing. We would like a refund.

SC: I understand. I do apologize. I've reached out to our billing team to assist you with this matter. Once it's been taken care of, a billing expert will reach out to confirm. In the meantime, please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!

Me: How will they be reaching out? Email?

SC: They'll reach out here, but you'll receive notification about it via email as well. :)

Me: Ok I will just wait.

**35 minutes later

Me: Still waiting.

SC: I can confirm your issue is on the billing teams queue - they will reach out via email once it has been processed.

**as of this post it has been an hour and I'm still waiting.

tbh, it does sound like their copy just went out early, it happens. As for waiting 35 minutes for billing to contact you and getting annoyed, more so after an hour, probably they are busy and just handle it at set hours. They will be (assumed) a small company who've made an honest mistake and you will just need to be patient for billing to sort it out.

Honestly, I have had worse customer service than you describe from million dollar, if not billion dollar companies than you describe above. I don't know why, people hold small botting companies to a higher standard than huge corporations. I had a case this morning of some user ranting and raving, accusing us of scamming them , threatening to write shit about us everywhere because we have ignored their mails. I looked into it. They wrote at 14:00 on a Sunday. 1600 on a sunday, 2100 on a sunday, then 0300 and 0400 (our time) Monday morning then got a reply at 0915.

I have not tried any other bot, but from my experience Jarvee is great. It took me some time to figure it out and I'm still experimenting with it but I find the options it provides are amazing. I suggest you read every option they offer so you get a better understanding of what it is capable of. You can always contact their support too which have helped me a bunch of times.

I figured out how to run Jarvee now. I got 150+ followers in a week.

I've been consistently getting 150-250 followers per day on my highly-saturated-niche account since 1.5k followers. Now sitting at 7.5k. I do around 500-650 follows per day and I highly doubt I could pull these numbers with any other bot as Jarvee is amazing at filtering users.

First off, the customer you're experiencing is clearly being unreasonable. Unfortunately I know all to well about these types. I don't expect any business to answer any CS inquires on the weekend. I would consider anytime Monday morning as being a pretty great response time. Most larger companies take a least 24 hours (starting Monday morning). But, these larger companies have the track record and reputation a company like SC does not have. You are taking a much smaller risk using an Amazon over a SC. For what it's worth, I really appreciate the live chat feature SC is offering. It is very nice to be able to talk to a live person that quickly. For this purpose I was just stating why I had to wait for a solution. This is probably another reason why they should extend their trial a bit longer. Either way, it didn't bother me in the slightest they weren't available on the weekend. I completely understand.

Under that same premise, I by no means expect an instant refund. But don't tell me to hold the line. A better response would have been, "I will put the request in and you should hear something in a few hours." It seems like basic CS practices to me. It is something I would do differently. But again, this really doesn't bother me.

On the other hand, they're not getting a pass from me for the auto DM stuff. This is a major feature. Not some little tidbit most people don't care about. I realize we all make mistakes. All I ever ask is that they're fixed. There are several ways they could remedy this, and they seem to be doing none of them. IMO, changing it on the website, even in the form of an announcement, would be my first choice. It seems a lot easier than dealing with damage control from customers and potentially tarnishing their reputation. If, for whatever reason, they don't want to go this route, they could also simply offer an explanation (which they did) and, more importantly, a path to fixing it with some type of compensation for the downtime. The easiest of which would be some kind of discount on their service. But to just say, well, see you later! Doesn't really make me want to stick it out with them. Again, this seems like CS 101 to me.

This really may not seem like a big deal to some. But in a world where someone like me is wading through all of these different services, many of which are shady, credibility is a big deal. Advertising a big piece of a service, to find out it is not live, then, with no effort to retain the customer, comes off as intentional deception. Even if that isn't what's actually going on. In my eyes it slides them back with some of these other companies I've encountered where before this they were right up near the top.

Overall, it is just a bad look for them. I can't possibly be the first customer they've had ask about this. I really hope they as a company of the best intentions at heart. But, for their own reputation and survival, I hope they address it.

Wow, that is great to hear. Judging from what I've read about Jarvee, I just haven't been able to carve out enough time to give it a full shot. Although I probably could have with the time it took me to write all this!

I started IG very early when most of the bot was web based and started with igerslike , i found most of the option that i needed and i made decent money that time then people started to talk about MP so i tested it for 2 months also
so for me web based bot are better because i don't need to setup vps and those things

To be honest being frustrated about 35 minutes response time for an email answer is kinda impatient.
But yeah promoting a feature they don't have is super unprofessional.
Anyways to get on your topic.

You should really think about what you want with those services.
jarvee will take you longer to learn, but you will learn the basis of what works and you can scale a lot.
Also if you run a small startup you could pay an va to teach him jarvee, let him do a lot of work and grow way faster than any of those bs websites.
There are also special forums where you can find people specialized in working with those bots.

Sites likes socialcaptain are for business that want the handsoff expierence and that only run 1 account.
But at the end of the day, they sell you the most basic features as super advanced modules on their websites.
And a lot of BS like 350% follower growth rate ahahah

Nice Read.
Question about FB engagement groups as I've seen a few recently on my FB page.
Are they automated like Telegram or manual, as DM groups on IG.
I want to give Engagement groups a go but I hate being spammed daily by 10 other people whilst some of them don't even engage back..

I don't expect any business to answer any CS inquires on the weekend. I would consider anytime Monday morning as being a pretty great response time.

Just to be clear, I wasn't implying you were being unreasonable like my example, was more of a "just wait a bit and it will be fine" then I got into a rant about my customer :) A lot of the time, people (again not saying you) that we / similar companies are a lot bigger than we are. With timezones and perhaps live support being in different parts of the world, and probably live chat support not really having any power to actually make changes to the app / website, all they can do is apologise and run it up the chain of command. It probably annoys them more than you, as they are the ones who have to deal with the mistake from others.

At least 24 hours. But expecting a small company to be quicker than a billion dollar company isn't really fair, as they do have the resources and money to provide better service but just don't value it. It is somewhat of a petpeeve of mine

I agree with you. live support should have made the contact and got it fixed within the first working hours of the next working day. Sounds like perhaps the program was contracted out, along with the site, and the owners are marketing it, without the dev on hand to fix / correct / update this. As opposed to a dev owned company who could correct it within seconds of knowing about it.

It doesn't bother me at all that they hadn't issued the refund. On that subject, I wouldn't be expecting it that quickly if they didn't tell me to hold on in the chat and wait. Again, I didn't and wouldn't expect an instant refund if I wasn't told to expect one. That would be pretty unreasonable. I may have misinterpreted what she meant in the chat. But I was under the impression I needed to hold up in the chat.

For the record, I haven't heard from them yet. But again, it really doesn't worry me and this really wan't the focus of my post. It was just something I mentioned.

But anyway, I appreciate your comments. I think I'm headed in the direction of Jarvee. I have some time carved out this week to take it on. I contacted ViralSoda with some questions and received some great answers today. So I decided to pay the $14 while I figure out our next move. I call us a "start up". But we probably aren't what you're thinking of. We are not tech focused. We offer a new type of sporting/outdoor product. As the founder I like interacting and being easily available to customers which includes social media. Because of that I'd like to try and handle it myself. But if it proves to be too big of a task I might just have to hand it off.

I completely agree about these sites selling pretty much basic features as super advanced modules. I love the idea of having somewhat of a set it and forget option. But it sounds like it just isn't that simple. I think I'll have a much better understanding of where everyone stands after getting my feet wet with Jarvee. The SC percentage claims such as 350% follower growth rate and other percentage claims with their AI do seem a little groundless. But I honestly don't know. They may be true. But the real question is are they doing anything you can't do yourself with basic settings via something like jarvee or VS.

No worries at all. I knew you weren't saying that. I agree with the giant company really just not caring. I deal with Amazon quite a bit as both a normal Amazon customer and a growing seller account. At the end of the day a everyone is just a drop in the bucket. It sucks. But that's just the way it is.

This is probably right. They probably don't have the ability or access to change it. At least I hope not. Who knows. I don't mean to sit here and lecture them. I'm far from an expert. I just see them making CS mistakes that have potentially a huge negative impact, yet are easily fixable. It frustrates me as both a customer and a business owner. I really hope they get it together. It sounds like since Instagram shut down a lot of these companies awhile back no-one has really taken the lead. I guess we'll see. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them and other companies as well as this thread.

Holy cow, 39k followers.... 62k, he must be using that. His ig is total crap, posts once a month and it's pics of trees and rocks with his phone. So I wonder if it's like a troll account or something. Growing at 1k a day? Oh my gosh, if you ever find out what the extension is, could you share one day? I wish other people who know this stuff would share about it with us, instead of keeping this stuff secret, haha. 30k followers a month, that's nuts. I am soo sure that's what the trees-and-rocks crap guy is doing.
