Some nutter bids £200k for a Cardboard iPhone on eBay

AN eBay auction for a piece of cardboard “shaped like an iPhone” hit £200,000 yesterday as a bidding war kicked off online.

The item started at 1p but rocketed in less than five hours with more than 100 bids.

The tongue-in-cheek description boasted it was fully biodegradable and would NEVER need charging.

It said it was “thinner than the iPhone (probably) and at the same time you are far less likely to get mugged”.

This item was listed for charity, that's why its reaching such high bids. Ebay have removed the item though because it contains the word 'Iphone' in it.

Just because someone "bids" that much for it, doesn't mean the sale will actually go through. Anyone who has done business for any length of time knows it's not over until the cash is in the bank :)

But such a bidding itself is insane.. I mean someone gonna buy it. Maybe at a bit lesser price; if the top bidder doesn't pays at the end of the day.
