    hey dudes,
i've got 2 questions regarding to paypal...

the first one: can i get an account where i use an alias name / a "fake" name to receive money? like for instance if i have an "internet name" alex blabla (but my real life name is different), is it possible to get paypal to show my intenret name instead of my real name?

the second one: how does the refunding thing works? i don't want to offer refunds etc. for my customer but as far as i know one can get very simply refunds via paypal ..is that true? if yes which kinda alternative to paypal can i choose to prevent that

You can make a business account and use a DBA "Doing Business As" name instead of your name

Looks like you are doing to do something extremely blackhat. You can get a paypal account on a fake name. Recently a sales thread has been launched here for this purpose as well.

You can use a fake name and address. If you have a previously suspended PayPal account you need to make sure and change all information. Anyone who makes a payment to you can contact PayPal after they have paid of they have an issue with the transaction. You can state no returns when they purchase but if the item is not as described a refund can be obtained rather easily by the buyer.

As much as you state "No Refund" there are a certain amount of consumer protection rights that buyers of your service have.

As a result of this, you will have to make sure:
#1 You have a clear refund policy posted on your website and what they can and cannot ask a refund for
#2 If you are selling a digital product or service, you should make sure you document and get your clients to "approve" or create some tracking regarding their acceptance that what you did is satisfactory.
#3 The most common refund request out there that people can use is that, "The product did not meet the description" - You better have a good response for this so that you can prove it did.

Above all, while you want people to buy lots of your products and or services, you need to make sure you are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that the client you get will not refund. Always make sure you go above and beyond in your delivery. Respond to emails promptly and courteously. If someone asks for a refund, try your best to resolve it quickly.

A couple of other things, PayPal will monitor the time it takes for your to issue refunds and also how many disputes you are getting in against total sales. You will want to make sure that these stay very low and you are responsive.

Finally, there will always be cases of fraud, where some fellow IMer will steals someone's identity and then charge it on the card with your product and service. As much as you dont want this to happen, it will and it does suck big time! In those cases, you are just out of luck and will have to issue the refund or better yet, PayPal takes the money first and then will ask you to prove your case.

Hopefully this helps and does not dissuade you from moving ahead.

Yes even with a no refund policy there are still consumer protection laws in place.
So depending on what your selling I suggest a stealth account.
