    Hey folks,

I have a domain with a lot of authority, which I want to make a directory out of it.
Thing is, I want to build it in German + English.

Has anyone experience with multi-language site's?

Like for example, what about geo-IP redirection? Couldn't that have a (bad) impact on Google? I'm not sure if spiders can fix that out.

    One simple solution would be:
    my-site.com (Frontpage in English)
    my-site.com/de/ (Inner-Page the German directory)

    Any idea's what's best?

    regards,
    Albaniax

    my-site.com (Frontpage in English)
    my-site.com/de/ (Inner-Page the German directory)

Will work just fine,i have several sites ranking on the 1 page this way.

I think you should follow your instincts on this one, the simple solution that you thought of seems to be the best way to go. Keeping it all as close knit as possible is a good move, as it's all well organised and both pages can benefit from being under the one umbrella, and the benefits that come to one page can trickle down to the other one through association.
