So I have 2 identical computers.
A few days ago I upgraded the RAM on one of them, and after upgrading the speed in task manager was 1600mhz. The ram I put in is 3200mhz.
I played around in BIOS a bit. And when I would drop it to 2400mhz in BIOS, it would show me 1200mhz when I would turn on the computer and check in task manager.
So I googled it a bit, and apparently 1600mhz means 3200mhz, because 2x1600=3200.
Great...
---
A few minutes ago I upgraded the other computer.
Now this computer shows 3200mhz in task manager.
But both computers are identical. Motherboards, power supplies, CPU, the whole thing.
I guess the only difference is that one has cracked windows (allegedly) and the other has the annoying "Activate windows" in the lower right of the screen. But that shouldn't affect nothing.
---
So what's the deal? Anyone knows?
