The title says it all, a member shared how to get a free .XYZ domain earlier (credit to TheUnborn) and I accidently found out you can also get a second free domain and a year of hosting with it (normal hosting, not huge bandwidth but no banners/ads/redirects or anything). The best part is it doesn't require a credit card or phone verification or anything so you can churn these out and you don't have to worry about a big charge if you forget about it after a year.

Anyone looking to start out, or to expand, this is a great value. Here's what you do, head over to:

    Code:
    http://www.hostinger.co.uk/free-xyz-domain
Pick your .XYZ domain and signup. Now, it takes some hours for your domain to propogate so once you've verified your e-mail and all signed in to your control panel go to hosting in the top left and to add a package. Pick the lowest package, its on promo right now and will be 100% free.

Now, while picking your package it will ask if you'd like to use it with a subdomain or buy a new domain for it. Slide the bar/button from subdomain to domain. Since your first domain isn't propogated yet your account doesn't think you've used the free .XYZ domain yet, you can now TYPE IN (it wants you to do a .com or something but will let you type it in) a domain ending with the .xyz suffix. Complete the process and you now have hosting and 2 .xyz domains ready to use for whatever. They're 100% free for an entire year without a CC, no strings attached.

That sucks :( did you try just saying you live in the US or did it check your IP? Sign up with a fake US address and see if it works, if not it's for sure available in UK and US and probably many more so just use a proxy in one of those countries (luckily many free proxies are US ones) and you can sign up. Like I said they don't verify phone, address or require a credit card (all u need is a valid email and u can use a gmail or whatever so that doesn't matter) so U can use fake info no problem.

not sure how good or bad it is, but it's sure as hell better than a .tk or any other free TLDs, there's a method how to get it for free, so why not get it? :)

to wowhaxor: if they don't check anything, it would mean not only 2 domains, but practically unlimited amount with creating new and new orders with different data, you just need proxies from supported countries, the whole thing can be automated even using imacros, so you can book all the .xyz TLDs out there lol

They're nothing special but they are a TLD and they are FREE. You don't get a Google penalty for using it just cause its a .XYZ. You can get 2 of these, on a hosting account that doesn't have ads just normal hosting, for free. People that want to build mass sites, each of these packs are going to save them from paying around $10+ for 2 .COMs and up to $30 for the year of hosting. And that's for 2 websites, if a person has a method where they need a couple of hundred domains this is a big saver on initial investment - especially if you're a beginner and don't have the startup capital.

Shit I'm using these for cloaking affiliate links from now on. Its hosted by ME so it can't be switched around/fucked by a URL shortener nor will it be auto blocked in places where the good, fast and trustworthy shortners are blocked, plus these aren't that in use so you can easily get 5 letter sensible sounding or even plural of dictionary word domains. Throw up a redirect file on the free hosting (don't even have to spend time to push the domains) and you have a clean affiliate link ready to go. (Stuff like DietGuide.xyz and similar are all available and that is way better on a blast than bit.ly/LekEs4 or PAYING for a .COM on every product you promote and still having to settle for Dieting-Guide.com.

Nowhere did I say .XYZs are any better than any other TLD, but they're not worse in terms of ranking (mabye in people's perception of trust a little bit but not much) so it doesn't matter because they're FREE. If this was .infos, .us or anything else I would've posted too because that's the same value - free domains and hosting is free domains and hosting.

If you can't see the value in this its probably because you don't use many domains and that's fine. But there are a lot of methods and reasons that people want to have hundreds of domains and it really does get expensive.

Ya, I know. That's why I shared it! It has captcha and e-mail verify but that's all you need, not even prepaid CCs or a legit address or text verification on a phone. This is really a goldmine for someone that needs mass sites.

Thanks for the share wowhaxor, already have quite a few .xyz domain names. Haven't used them yet just an extension that I like. Don't remember who made this statement but I remember reading in an interview that "xyz" is the end of the alphabet so wouldn't it be the perfect ending for a domain? Easy to remember, brandable & universal.

I believe that was mentioned by one of the founders of the extension. As much as I like the extension, I think we can all agree that there will never be another extension that matches up to a .com.

Excuse me? Did you just say there will never be another extension that matches up to a .com ?

For me .xyz is no different that .pizza and yes .pizza is more easy to remember and brandable than .xyz. In what language you can remember .xyz just like that? most of the pps will write it lke .xoz .xuz . xiz .xqz .xaz and if you say it to greek speaking person he will most likely to write it like .xouz :D

Just because xyz is the 3 ending alphabets don't means that will be the best solution :D What happen with .ab .abc. dfg etc etc? :D

Its fine to use is for different craps but don't use it for real long way projects :D

It's not always for SEO. For example if I running a viral niche site, and getting traffic from Facebook. .xyz is not a problem at all. Visitors from facebook click the link when they interested, they don't care much about domain name or extension.

After all, it's free, and I'm sure it helps a lot of people.

if you can't find proxies (most public ones will be slow and unreliable anyway), you can always use free vpns, just search on google, you'll find quite a few

maybe it's restricted in some countries, but it will work other ips than US or UK, i'm from neither of those countries and it worked with my home ip

" We have detected that this domain is not yet registered and it will not work. You have to register this domain with Hostinger or with another domain registration company "

This is the message I'm getting when I try to register second .xyz domain

not sure what the heck, it worked for me

offtopic: maybe you want to select another font color than black, it's pretty hard to see on black background lol, it's the best, if you don't change the default i'd say unless you want to emphasize something
