I had a really good idea for an authority site, so I found a partial match .org domain (only 5 letters) and bought it.

I have set my site up and done what I usually do do index a new site:

    twitter/fb/g+ posts
    30k stat/whois sites
    posted to identi.ca/digg/stumbleupon
setup webmaster tools and submitted site and sitemap
    pinged the shit outta it

2 days later, still not indexed :(

according to webmaster tools, there is no crawl data either (although awstat say that there spiders have been)

Anyone else having problems? do you think that the domain could have been previously deindexed?

Give it a few more days. Did you use WP? Also to get a site index fast you don't need so much effort, you are actually raising flags as it's launch today and it has hundreds of back links.

The best to get cached quickly 24hrs or less is either do some social bookmarks or a press release. Social BM looks like you just launched and people like it an A+ and PR pretty much the same.

im in the same boat as you with my new site but i have been unindexed for a week now. so give it some more time or use the search function to see what people have said it the past to get your site indexed. someone msged me and said social media is a powerful tool in indexation. FB, pinterest, twitter and stuff like that helps.

Yes, this is fairly common these days. I would caution you not to build any links until the site is indexed, this has been a pretty sketchy thing for me over the years but it's seemingly a little more obvious now. It's highly unlikely that your unindexed site garnered its own links, so that's a clear flag.

I would just recommend submitting a sitemap to google webmaster tools and calling it a day. It really doesn't take too much longer than 3-4 days on avg for me, as long as your site isn't super stuffed with kwds or dupped.

thanks for the info guys. on further inspection, the site already had backlinks before I bought it. luckily they are from high quality web 2.0s and there is only about 20 of them.

Im just going to create a few social bookmarks (about 10-20) and leave it. Will report back in a few days :p

Are you serious. What is this world coming to! On a serious not kick back and wait OP. It took my site two weeks as I am ok with going slow. I want things to look natural. Another member said it already. to much before it indexes is a red flag.

Two weeks to get a site index is too long. Naturally it should take 4 to 5 days. 3 if youuse wordpress. Crawlers are moving faster now days.

Yeah, im gonna wait a few more days. Only reason I made this thread was because I have over 100 sites, all been indexed within the first 24hrs. Yet my new one is taking ages and despite all the backlinks, still no crawl data in WMT.
Just seeing if anyone else is experiencing the same.

you guys are way too eager! Calm down a bit and don't scare the spiders away from your sites :)

@rankjuice, check your apache logs to see if G's spiders came at all

the best way to play it is to avoid it.. Just think how much time you have lost bugging with it when You could used that time for something else more productive..

Anytime i make a new i am absolutely not checking indexing, i know it will be indexed.. So i just create it and continue with the work thats contributing to my wealth..

That's the plan should be. Instead of waiting for indexing (which we can't control, i know i know but still) , we can use the time for different things. like: More content adding, last time modifications or joining some lose ends.
