Hey have a question wanted to get your opinions on:

Say in a scenario:
you have a digital marketing agency named "Shark Solutions" that provided web design, seo, social media marketing, paid ads etc.
And now we want to add animations since we do animations as well, would it be better to separate the brand to "Shark Animations" and have it as a sister company, or is it okay to put it all under one could go under Shark Solutions. I feel if we were to put all animation services in one website with the digital marketing services, it would overwhelm & confuse clients what we do mainly which is web design & paid ads/social media.

Would love to hear thoughts on this, have a good weekend ahead!

Separating the brands may help in clarify your services and prevent client confusions so I would suggest multibranding

It makes sense, a tiled window consisting of smaller rectangular windows.

If you throw / kick a ball in the direction of the window, the whole window might break for a regular window.
For those other kind of windows, probably 1-2 rectangular windows break, but the other parts are not affected. - Spread the risk..

That's a way to describe Fonds in Investing. But also applicable for Branding etc.

Br o u got me fucked up lol or slow day for me, so assuming your point was its better to separate it ?

If you already have build some reputation as a company, use the same brand.
This. Literally. Popularity and goodwill is the only determinant here. Otherwise, it's a straight win for the side of creating a separate brand.

Bingo Winners, thank you very much for clarifying this and giving your perspectives, will be taking this route.

Best of wishes to you all and hope to connect with like minded individuals in the near future.

Animations is a whole different ball game, would we still be considered a digital marketing agency, or would that shift away organically in your opinions.
