set up a facebook ad yesterday and went through where I wanted it, local town etc.

Got the emails back that the AD was approved and was now active

24 hours later still zero clicks

The ad shows as active in the ad manager peofile, shows the budget etc but zero clicks

When I set up the ad (possibly stupidly) i left the click amount to facebook, however this I think shows as 0.0o in the ad manager

Is this where I have gone wrong, should I have put a bid amount in?

If I was putting a bid amount in what sort of range should I use for a local town, hitting around 10k according to Facebook?

    Any help appreciated

    Jak19,

If you didn't put in a maximum bid amount and you have opted to be billed in this way, that very well could be why you aren't receiving clicks. From Facebook's point of view, you have basically told them you are not willing to bid for a click so they may not be showing your ad. That's more of a guess though. For starters, go in and set a maximum bid amount per click. The system should show you what your estimated CPC should be based on your targeting. Sometimes its just a matter of getting used to the interface.

    More on setting max bids,

We need more information in order to help you out. What is your reach, how much impressions did you get, what is the suggested bid. If you want help, you better provide a lot more information.
