1and1 domains

hi guys i just wanted to know if it s a good idea to buy a domain name from 1and1 they have .com and .info for 0.99 first year anybody dealt with them before ?

My advise is simple......
Use anyone OTHER THAN 1and1

I use them and haven't had any problems but most on the board seem to hate them.

I've used them, no complaints. Just keep an eye on billing they seem to be a little sketchy on updating you AFTER they already billed you without notification prior.

any reason why i shouldnt use them !?

there cpanel and everything is weird.. but if you can get past that and don't plan to ever cancel then you'll be ok.

I tried to cancel and went through 4 or 5 pages on cancel.1and1.com and when i got to the last part.. the submit button took me to a not responding page.. i emailed support and they waited until after my billing date to respond but still told me to goto cancel.1and1.com to cancel it.. i had tried with chrome, firefox, and IE.. I responded again and I guess they "fixed" it.. because i finally got it to work.. so i got it canceled finally and they said I owed them 6$ since I didn't cancel before my billing period.. and sent me off to collections when i refused to pay since I had sent them an email prior to my billing date.

that s why i love this forum u get good answers fuck it i wont use them i better go with godaddy tnx again for sharin yr experience with me

What about buying misspelled domains in order to secure a domain?

i have a ton of domains with 1and1. just make sure you're not going to transfer anything in or out. canceling domains is easy enough. free private whois is great. however their prices steadily keep going up. fucking annoying.

My advice is yes, you can buy a domain name from 1and1.
