Have no idea what I'm doing, took honors accounting as a sophomore but learned nothing except the lemon law. The main reason I am looking to apply for a credit card is that in a few months, I would like to lease a car.

Any and all advice would be awesome.

I really respect the opinions of the people on here.

First I'd say don't do it but most people are going to need their credit at some point and there aren't many options for getting started. I'd recommend requesting a low limit, maybe $300 this way you can't get yourself into trouble. Make sure you get a card that reports regularly, which you can generally verify or find just by searching cards good for building credit, etc..

Bank of America gave me a great credit card. $700 limit off the back and I think it's about to go up. Also to lease a car you need 2 years of credit history
