Hi,

My Fashion niche IG account just hit 170K followers. All 100% organic, gained using an automation bot.
I was hoping that by now, I'd have a fashion-focused website up and running, but life has gotten in the way, and I can't seem to get the website going just yet (working on it, nonetheless).

I am not a marketer, and I've never posted a shout-out or a promotional post -- mainly because I wanted to keep it clean, professional, and not scare the followers away. At the risk of blowing my own horn, the page looks like it's run by Vogue (I kid you not). I get over 6.5K likes and 160+ comments per post (all organic).

I am looking for 'tried and tested' advice from the experts:
1. What are the money-making options for a fashion-niche IG with a following of over 170K?
2. How much should I expect to make with the method that you recommend?
2. Will the method work even if I do not have a complimentary website for the page?
3. I have been receiving a number of emails from brands/PR inquiring about sponsored post costs, but I have never gotten back to them as I don't know how to determine the cost per post on my page. How much would you reccomend I charge to promote a product/accessory?

I'd really appreciate it if you could take the time to respond to the breakdown of questions in the format above, and thank you in advance for all the help.

"I have been receiving a number of emails from brands/PR inquiring about sponsored post costs," Mannnn you missed the opportunity of earning x,xxx money ... If you would have answer those emails, you would have recovered your invested money:P

One advice, you can't direct post affiliate links, so website is needed for sure (experts??), make website and sale stuff there, collect there emails too..

Website with affiliate Links + shoutouts to brands are the way to go. I don't get why you haven't starting to promote them already? The price depends on what you think they can pay. I would charge atleast $100 for a brand shoutout and higher for bigger brands that can efford it. GL

how long did it take you to get 170K followers? and got kik or skype? pm me it

I have all their emails. And I continue to receive these requests daily, but I was under the impression that they may want to pay something around $20 for a shoutout -- which, to be honest, is too low for the quality of page I run (I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I put a lot of effort into making it look like it does now). But again, I assume 100 would be too much to ask for since I am not in the 500K mark, no?
Thanks for the tip!

you can earn alot money with fashion niche for sure...
PM me your skype and we can help each other :)

Why not ask for $100 per shout out
if they think its worth while to them they will pay
If not you have lost nothing but a few minutes of your time, and learned something

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I am getting excited at the thought that it may actually not sound too outrageous if I asked for $100. I used to think that the most these brands are looking to pay is $30. Thanks!

It took me over a year of hard work and dedication. Takes time. But worth the effort.

That would be the best way to put it, I suppose. Thank you!

I have read about smaller accounts that earn 150USD/shoutout from companies and they post 3 times a day, you could easily get the same.
This is kinda off topic but, do you have any tips and tricks on how to get followers?

Hey I am actually in the same field and boat, I was wondering if we can exchange notes, I am trying to get my numbers to where your at. Mind if I PM. you?

This got me thinking. Sometimes, the best way to go is just to do it. Instead of thinking "how much should i charge?" maybe think "how much are they willing to pay?". If you have never done it before (neither do i), just go with a low cost and measure the success.

To me, unless i know what i am doing, I wouldn't dare charge 100+. I would probably even go with "free" for the first few round. Then if they like the results, then start charging for repeat orders. Just my thought.

Not sure why people are saying $100 is too much. You guys have no idea what you are talking about...

I have messaged a lot of top IG fashion-related people in the past...and some of the numbers they ask for to promote a product is unreal.. (Like $1k+) Don't short yourself. You have been building it for a year, I wouldn't waste my time getting 3x $20 shout-outs a day. After a week of spam posts you will lose more followers than its worth.

Personally I'd charge $300 or so... Less spam, Less followers lost, more money. Tons of fashion/fitness/health products are advertising heavily on IG.

Find some hot models and message them asking for their prices...and go from there. You need some data to analyze. Try getting 10 - 20 responses with a similar size page and you will know what you can ask.

Good luck man.

I have to agree with WonderKid on this one. People think everything is 'overpriced', but it's not. If your account is highly professional and looks great, you should charge more. Don't look at those accounts at buysellshoutouts with fake accounts selling for 20$, they're worthless and bring absolutely nothing. We're talking about a real account here with real activity.

Agreed. If your interactions are as good as you claim... you can charge a good amount to businesses. I know plenty of accounts 2x the size who don't get that amount of activity.
