So I'm new to this whole internet marketing thing. Educated enough to get my first dollar and never my hundredth. My skill is to get a large following base over a period of time. I set a goal and I do whatever I can to reach that goal. This journey is going to take my talent of gaining a follower base and converting it into leads.

I've been reading a lot on BHW recently and I think I'm finally ready to start my own journey into internet fame and marketing. I do not plan on disclosing any URLs but I intend to document my statistics, progress, daily income, and etc. Also I want to update this post daily but considering it's summer I may not always have time to.

    Info:
    1. Currently I have a 1.6k following base on Tumblr (plan on using mylikes-bit.ly method to monetize & adsense)
    2. I have a collective 1.03k following base on Twitter (also plan on monetizing with mylikes-bit.ly methods & sponsoredtweets)
    3. I intend to start a profitable niche blog soon after researching a niche

I do not have any software to assist me in gaining followers although I am going to begin to look for new methods.

During a hard grind I can gain 400 - 600 on average in 2 days for tumblr (via tumblrplug) and 400 twitter followers (via followback).

The 2 accounts I am currently talking about are not new although they are accounts that I had and haven't done anything with in the last few years.

    Daily Income: $1 - 5

Thanks for the support you guys! It's nice to see people are interested in the progress of others.

    UPDATE:
Today I concentrated on gaining new Tumblr followers and generated 97+ followers with 300+ unique visits to my blog earning me about $0.70 via google ads. This being said the night is still young. I am also looking for a Tumblr partner to earn followers/likes/reblogs faster than I currently am.

I decided a niche for my writing blog (prefer not to disclose it). It is a relatively popular niche and some posts will be highly competitive so I am beginning to do my research on SEO Marketing, Guest Bloggers, and Backlinking via comments. The blog is currently hosted on blogger (wordpress doesn't support adsense) although if I gain a certain level of popularity I plan to transfer over to self hosted word press to increase popularity.

Tomorrow my plan is to work on my writing blog even more and concentrate less on tumblr and twitter. I may even invest into SEO Friendly $5 500 word articles from fiverr and bhw. Tumblr and Twitter seem to be decent temporary incomes but it appears writing blogs generate more of an income via ppc ads and affiliate marketing. I will introduce both onto my blog soon.

Overall day 1 of my Journey has been a success and I have learned more about IM than I have in all my time on the internet.

    UPDATE #2:

It's been more than 48 hours since I started my journey and I have decided to not only invest time but also a bit of money. I decided to budget $30 and hope to see that money back within 30 days ($1 a day)

    Budget: $30
    Total Cost: $21
    Total Income: $2.56
    Profit: -$19.44

I finally made the decision to give up on tumblr and twitter (both are mainly for affiliate marketing and can't generate as much with ppc) and concentrate full time on my new blog.

Spent $11 on hosting and domain for 1 year.

On my blog there is only 1 article. I paid $10 today for a SEO optimized article about a less competitive topic in hopes it might rank top for search engines.

If I update my blog once daily with unique/quality posts that are SEO friendly (1,000+ words) and create more pages on my blog I will have more content for my readers to lurk and quite possibly gain new readers.

I posted my blog link on a couple of popular websites so hopefully this will create backlinks and a small amount of traffic.

    UPDATE #3:
    Budget: $30
    Total Cost: $21
    Total Income: $8.10
    Profit: -$12.9

My Niche blog is all set up and is on auto pilot now. For the next couple of weeks there will be very minimal work I will have to do on the website itself. On the blog I will work on posting articles, generating traffic, and getting search engine rankings.

All of this will take time and I do understand it won't happen over night.

I'm going to try and get guest posts on authoritative websites related to my niche. I researched my competition and made of list of over 100+ blogs so I plan on writing to all of the ones that allow guest articles to start collecting readers.

Tumblr is still profiting for me even though it's been over 2 days since I gave up on it. I also looked at my adsense and realized my HubPages is generating a reasonable source of income with small deposits each month (nothing over $5). I'm going to start working on my hubpages and generate not only an income but hopefully a source of traffic to my blog. Hubpages can be a great SEO tool and tolerates back linking.

If I didn't have other obligations like work everyday I feel like I would be a lot more productive!

Anyways, I'll keep this journey updated even though I'm not sure if anybody reads it. It'll be a good journey for me to look back on one day.
