I wont publish the domain here, but please I ask some Senior member to post here and I will send him a PM with the domain.

Please take a look at it, test it a bit, and give me your opinion.

I was offered on two occasions to sell the domain name for $10k, many more offers were between $5k-$10k.

    Domain is old 10+ years

I build a nice informative website, 300 original aricles/pages, forum...
listed in dmoz, google, yahoo, joeant directory

SEO has been done on index page and 4 inner pages.

Domain was PR4 when it was online, and after that I had over 500 PR3-5 bolg links, many linkwheel, 100 EDU links, articles... 3k invested in links and stuff.

I now rank for keywords that were targeted on 2nd page of google.

Traffic is 50 visits / day. And website is making $0. 0 banner clicks. no activity. forum gets 3 new user a month.

    Wow,

looking at what you posted, the main thing that jumps out is this statement

SEO has been done on index page and 4 inner pages.

Thats only 5 pages. Although its odd that your only getting 50 visitors a day with a 10 year old domain with that much content. I would be happy to check out the site and offer any helpful tips i can see

on page SEO has been done on all the pages.

But the offsite SEO has been done on only 5 pages, because it costed me $700 per page for links...

    I cant pay $700 for 300 pages :)

    checked out your site.

The site is not that bad and is layed out well for an info site.

The main problem is that your keywords you want to rank well for are not very well used on page. Your title tag is fine, however your meta description isnt, you need to move the keywords closer to start. Also on page you need your main keywords towards to top in h2 tags at least when they are first mentioned. If this requires new designing then it must be done.

Rest - nothing else really to say. Its got to be all off site work to help boost. But i dont think your keywords are too great. Cant imagine many people searching for them.

Lesson one: if you get a 5 figure offer for a domain in what I'd imagine is a tough niche to monetize, take it and run. With the knowledge you gain from here you can easily turn 10k into 20k inside a month.

I do not need a money to sell the domain, 10k isnt something that will change my life.

I am more looking in developing a website that can make me $1500-2000/month, and still it can be a good reference for some of my other works which are connected.

I never said you needed the money, I said it sounded as if that money would be better invested elsewhere. For 10k you could easily pick up 5 sites making $10/day each and build that quite quickly to $20-30 each, spreading your risk across 5 sites rather than 1.

what method would that be? As your later post suggest spend that 10K on buying sites and within month sell them for 20k? :)
