Hi all,

KidFortune here and welcome to my journey to $500/day. I leave school in exactly 12 months (May/June 2015) and I have known for a while the typical 9-5 lifestyle is definitely not for me. The thought of having set hours, set schedule, building somebody else's business etc.. really doesn't appeal to me. I understand this isn't the case with all jobs, and some people enjoy their workplace and the people they work with, however I really do want to be my own man. In addition to this, I know that IM isn't a shortcut to riches, nor is it an easy lifestyle. Most (if not all) Internet Marketers work more hours than a usual person with a 9-5 would, however as long as I'm doing it for myself and building MY future, this doesn't bother me.

I used to dabble in PPD/Content Locking around 1-2 years ago, and reached about $20/day however I took a break over the summer and one of my accounts got banned, which caused me to call it a day with that venture. Now, I'm here. What am I going to do with the money? Simple. BANK BANK BANK! Besides the reinvestments that come with the game, the most part of the money is going straight to the bank for the future. Like most IM'ers I've spoken to, my plan for the future is to eventually invest my earnings into a clean whitehat business for myself.

My gameplan is to build reputable websites/blogs with quality content and monetise them with Adsense to begin with, as well as branching into affiliate offers also. Yeah, slow I know. I'm going to begin building THREE websites, all in different niches that I've already analysed and chosen. Over the next 12 months, I want to turn these websites into passive cash making machines. In the future I may sell the websites, or keep them. I'm unsure as of now.

I know this may not be the path some people would take, and this is because you have to find something that fits you as a marketer and as a person. I know this is something I can maintain (mentally and physically) whereas others may not, again it's about finding what's right for you. Believe it or not, I've been lurking around IM forums since I was about 12 and I was always one of them people that would look for 'Step-by-step methods' and spoon fed guides on how to make money. It was only in the past few years I've come to realise that with true success you need to come up with your own twists and techniques. I used to see BHW as a place where you could find methods to make money, I now see it as a place where I can analyse how others make money, take SOMETHING from what they do, and add it to my knowledge for the future. As for my current venture, i have my own twists/techniques that I have learnt to make it a success. Before I make the actual websites, I have a few goals I need to fulfil:

Things to do

  • Get 50 articles for niche #1
  • Get 50 articles for niche #2
  • Get 50 articles for niche #3

Some articles I will write myself, the rest I will purchase. This first stage may be time consuming and get frustrating to not only read for some people, but to perform myself. However, I'm going to think about the future and where I CAN be if I stick with it. My mindset is simple; no matter what, the next 12 months are going to pass. So I might as well do something productive with them. I'm setting myself a minimum of 5 articles a day, if not more. Once I've got my 150 articles, I will continue onto my next step. I hope you all enjoy this journey regardless of the outcome, and try and take something from it just like I will. I hope this inspires the so called 'newbs' just like I was (and still am) to make that break and put your mind to something and show persistence. Have a great day.

I love all these 14/15 year olds who have never worked a day in their life but they KNOW it isn't for them and decide IM is the way to go.

OP, anybody can make money in IM, if they are willing to put in the effort, not everybody will though.

Why not get some life experience for a couple of years and do IM on the side?

Good Luck anyway.

and I have known for a while the typical 9-5 lifestyle is definitely not for me.

Well you will never know until you try it. I actually miss working 9 - 5 as I miss the social interaction that does not involve a pub.
