15 posts restriction for sending PM is gone?

they show that newbies who have less than 15 posts on BHW are able to send PMs to members. So is the restriction of 15 posts required to become eligible for using PM system removed? It will attract spammers a lot more and their PM spamming becoming immediately available as soon as they join with new multiple accounts...

Please look into this serious matter asap.

i can think of another possible explanation: threads/post gets removed which decreases the post count
i think when the pm was sent out, he had 15 posts or above, then a thread where he posted or single posts of him got removed and his post counter went below 15 posts

No that's not the case in (at least) the second example link above. Because I had immediately seen thee members posts and they stood at 12 even then...

Some mod may open a new test account and see if he is able to send PM to his original account before his 15 count is up. He may post in the uncounted sections (like Lounge) also. But there could be a switch that handles this issue and it could be unknowingly switched off, thus creating this problem.

I've just create account few days ago, yesterday still not enough 15 posts and I can't make a PM. I'm a donor btw. I think this restriction is still working

May be the restrictions are still working for new accounts (those not having 15 or more posts still) for account created before a certain date (may be 3 weeks back, whatever), and are not working for recently created accounts. lol Or may be the restrictions don't apply to the regular new (below 15 counts) members? When you got the Donor status, your account went into the restriction zone ? Sorry...

Anyway, I mentioned a fact in my OP. May be the Mods will verify it soon...

The restriction is still there, but as someone mentioned, deleted posts may of made it seem like they did with lower posts.

We won't be taking that restriction away, don't worry.

I think this restriction need to be increased to 25.

Today early, i was not able to send a PM for less than 15 posts. After seeing this post, i tried to send a PM and it really worked.

I think the restriction needs to be 10,000

Thank you Mr Apricot, I still believe that I had checked xyeds' post immediately after I got his PM, and had definitely seen 10 posts in fron of his name, I think I should better close this thread so that members can concentrate on positing on better threads than this.
