Hi guys, if you guys are running the same product, but your result is worse than your competitor, the reason can only be due to the following mistakes when setting up Ads. Here are some of my experiences with this case:

1. Targeting the wrong audience: This is the most basic mistake when running ads, but almost everyone makes it. It's not simply about targeting gender, age, location, but also understanding demographics, behavior, interests, etc. Make sure your target details are detailed and accurate. For example, you are running an ad for a nose augmentation package at a beauty salon, targeting only women. But women have different needs: some want liposuction, some want nose augmentation, some want eyelid surgery... So you need to target the right audience who wants nose augmentation for the ad to be effective, right?

2. Long-winded content, unimpressive images: In this fast-paced era, no one takes the time to read long content. Make sure your headline is catchy and highlight the main message in the first 3 lines, don't let it overflow to the "See More" button.

3. Increasing the budget for the campaign and being pushed into a bidding war: Many people think that if an ad is doing well, they should take advantage of it and increase the budget. However, increasing the budget means having to compete at a higher bid price, and if the content and images are mediocre, you're in trouble. So make sure your content and images get better when you decide to increase your budget.

4. Focusing the budget on only one ad: It's like putting all your eggs in one basket. If it works well, fine, but if it doesn't, you'll lose your entire budget. Divide your budget reasonably will be a better way.

5. Not running A/B Testing: Even if you carefully prepare your target audience, content, images, etc., if you don't do A/B Testing, it's like groping in the dark, with no basis to ensure the success of the campaign.

6. Card runs out of money so FB can't pay the debt, but all Ads are active: Your ads are doing well but your card runs out of money and they are paused suddenly, what could be more frustrating? What you need to do is always check your balance and top up promptly.

7. Being impatient, turning off ads too soon before they can run properly: Many people are afraid of wasting money, so they turn off ads after only a few hours of seeing no results. It takes about 24 hours for an ad to reach stability.

8. Turning ads on and off constantly, going back to the bidding story. If you're lucky, you'll get a good spot, but if you're unlucky, you'll be “out”.

9. Choosing the wrong time zone for the advertising account: Running ads at bedtime is pointless. The first thing you need to do before starting a campaign is to properly determine the timezone of your customers.

10. Don’t know how to Re-marketing on Facebook: This is very important. Most customers don't buy a product the first time they see it, they need to consider it 2-3 more times. So running Re-marketing Ads is the key to generating orders for you.

11. Lack of a CTA button: Facebook is a place with too many distractions. When advertising, you need to be intentional. Make sure there is a CTA that prompts customers to take action after reading your ad.

12. Don’t know how to read or being lazy, ignoring the Ad performance report: First, no one can guarantee that they are an Ads genius and can target the right audience all the time. Second, user behavior is always changing with trends and time, and these are the things that will be reflected in the report. You need to read it to make timely changes and optimize for the next time.

It's a bit long but I'm glad you read it all. Hope this post can help you achieve better results when running ads, and pls let me know if you know any other mistake
