Last week i was looking for a suitable domain for a new project and found a good one.

On this site i am uploading aprox a 1000 posts wich are onsite seo optimized and targeting google for 3/4 word phrases that are posted on a dripfeed base daily.

Income will be generated trough aff sales.

    Now my question is:

This domain is 10 years old and i know with aged domains that they have more credz at google IF remained on the same host.

It has moved in that time from 5 hosts to another and now obviously on mine.

Do i still have some authority?

yes being 10 years old does help but it is not everything. moving hosts does not have much inpact if any. Also do not assume because it is old you can blast the site. You need to start linking slowly and gradually increase number of links just like you would with a new site.

    Cheer.

It helps but its not everything. I would say it's very minimal. FWIW, I have moved site to new host and very seldom had an issue. Most of the time the issue is broken links.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Well regarding backlinking, i will will not blast the site since there a so many 3/4 word phrases posts targeted with low competition.

Have to see how it goes, but i will keep you all posted when the first posts show up in G.

The domain is currently indexed with the old host info on it but i assume tomorrow it will be indexed properly ;)

    Have a great weekend!
