I've got a few thousand posts to publish for a new wordpress site that I'm not sure how to proceed with. The site is only about a month old, PR1 with around 100 backlinks. In that month I've published about 15 posts and 15 or so pages. All this is unique, high quality content(not spun) with images, and other media.

I'm looking for someone that's had experience with this and the outcome... I've posted about 20 new posts over the past 24 hours as a small test, and their index rate seems to be really low so far. My biggest fear is that if I blast too many out there that I may risk have a penalty slapped on my site from G.

So if the trickle approach is the only way, what do you think a safe number per day would be?

I was thinking start low and slowly increase it so it shows a smooth curve of indexed posts.

    Thoughts?

If you intend to post them frequently (many within one day), make sure you are not pinging them each time you edit/post. This might trigger red flags. In other words, get rid of pinging new posts, which is done in wordpress by default.

I say be consistent and drip feed over time. Create videos, backlinks, social signals for your posts and then rinse/repeat. Do you want to smash and grab or are you looking to build a strong base for your business?

Definitely drip (trickle) them because Google will acknowledge that your website regularly posts high quality content and will crawl your website more often. It also just looks unnatural for 1000 posts to come out of the blue in one day. Don't worry about your crawl rates - as you submit more articles Google will give your website higher priority. Building back links to your articles will also really help with the indexing rate.

I wouldn't go with more than 3-5 daily posts. If you need help with automating the whole process I can help you with that.
