Save your money, learn about SEO. You can build and rank a site with almost no investment just as easily as you can spend £1000 and get no return.

Id say either invest it in something you have experience in, or pick something you wish to specialize in and slowly invest there.

For example SEO - > learn about PBNs, find a niche and build everything up slowly, £1000 can build you a good network.

I'd start an authority website with little investment, work on SEO and backlinks. Then after I get some traffic I'd invest some money on FB ads to get email subscribers or just traffic to my main athority blog. Work on what you can do , start small and think long term.

I would definately do some sort of ropshipping site with that amount of money. Find a good keyword, do on page SEO etc and then buy some links from the marketplace. You could make a lot of money if done right. Target low comp keywords but more of them and you can get a lot of traffic which equals a lot of sales!

Try matched betting. Turn that £1,000 into £3,000 in about a month. U.K. Only

ProfitAccumulator and OddsMonkey are the market leaders but they are paid for, but there's MatchedBettingCentre which is free.

Myself and the wife have done matched betting over the last year and made about £10k from it. It's not as profitable as it used to be as bookies are becoming wise, but the sign up offers are still worthwhile, and there's an easy £2k to be made. If you've got a partner, or friends that will trust you with their I'd and bank card, you can make even more.

Set your goals clearly. If you have a good knowledge and experience in an SEO then start your journey with learning and build your site. Also, plan your budget to invest it in your site's growth.

Any method will give you a decent return if you do it right.

If you have had no success in the past, I recommend you keep hold of your money for now. Carry out a couple weeks research on the journeys and methods given on BHW. Find something you are willing to put all your time and effort into. Then do everything you can to make money at the method without spending a penny until you fully understand it, can see traffic flowing (how it is flowing, and why it is flowing), and can understand the customer interaction, and fully understand how the money is made with that method. Then gradually scale up with your investment.

Personally, I prefer building sites. I would spend time identifying a great niche, identify great keywords, and decide on a monetization strategy. Write as much of the content as you can yourself, then consider investing in quality content if you have to. Then just build the site out and direct traffic to it. Once you are happy with the traffic flow and conversions, then consider investing in Facebook ads or similar. Be careful with your money. Don't invest all your money in something that isn't working

    Good luck to you.

If you want to get from $1,000 to $10,000 eventually, then investing in the market as a whole (through a passive, low-cost index fund or ETF) is the way to go. Compound returns of diversified financial assets with low transaction/management costs and deferred taxes produce spectacular results, but they require time and patience to succeed.

If you want to get 10x your money in a short period of time (~1 year), then investing in financial assets isn't going to get you there. You should instead think of products you can sell that have a high profit margin and/or a low up-front investment requirement. I know several people who turned less than $1k investment into more than $10k in a year's time by:

    • Independently publishing books,
    • Developing and releasing an online course,
    • Designing and selling T-shirts,
    • Selling home made baked goods,
    • Running a food cart that made quesadillas & grilled cheese,
    • Organizing events,
    • Photographing events,
    • Doing web design for local businesses,
    • Operating a laundry service,
    • Operating a bus service,
    • Writing an app,
    • Supplying wholesale to Amazon,
    • Teaching fitness classes,
    • Translating,
    • Vlogging,
    • etc, etc
In your case, you want to look for something that's a relatively small market that hasn't been well served and where you have some kind of advantage. Since you say you're in high school, you might think of things that all of your friends want but can't get conveniently, or a solution to a problem that only you know about.

Notice that some of the other recommendations are the opposite of this. Forex trading, for example, has a worldwide market and is dominated by very large scale players with millions or billions of dollars at stake. They have an advantage over you in hardware, capital and expertise. Choose your playing field so you have control of it.

So we have Wiki, Save the Student, and The Guardian all confirming matched betting is a risk free way of making money. Do your research before you call someone out stupid....

Like my original post, I said ProfitAccumulator and OddsMonkey are the market leaders with a paid subscription service, but MatchedBettingCentre are free. ProfitAccumulator have tens of thousands using their private forum, whilst OddsMonkey have the best software available, you can find most information you need at MBC, however.

IT'S NOT GAMBLING, all profits are locked in regardless of the result you're betting on. Like I said, do your research.
