Hi,

I have 1000$ to invest, but I'm not sure where to put the money. My objective is obviously to make more money to launch bigger project.
I'm a pretty good C++ developper, I can also make nice website (Creating websites in various platforms was my jobs this summer, and I know HTML/PHP since 1.5 years). I also developped video games on windows but never released them.

I though of creating a android/iOS video game and invest the money into marketing or creating multiple e-commerce website based on dropshipping and invest money into SEO or any other way that can bring me more return on investment.

So I'm asking here to get answers and advices from experienced peoples.

Thanks you very much, all proposals/advices are always welcome.

Finding way to invest small money is the struggle of every people in IM. Because if you find a way to have a positive ROI with $1000, then you can loan money and scale up.

Find a method that works, and then invest. Not the other way around.

Welcome aboard.

In what niche are you able to make a difference? Can you write bots in C++?

With programming knowledge you may be able to make $ with pay per install. Create something interesting in C++ and make money for every install. Just an idea.

Start learning from the top pinned threads in this forum and choose one you can implement and focus on that

You say you can make nice websites, why not offer that service to some locals but at competitive prices.

Set up an online business promoting your work (much cheaper than offline), try and rank using local seo tactics (search on here) and you can make some good cash which you can start a bigger project. You'll have more than $1000.

Just advice. Goodluck

Don't try to reinvent the wheel out the gate. You actually have skills to utilize, so you can avoid a lot of the BS of "systems" or "GAME CHANGING" Software. This is just like coding/programming - make a layout, build it out, test, isolate, test, isolate, repair, test, implement, crash, isolate, repair, launch!

If you are dying to spend money, then buy a spiral notebook, a pack of pens, a few cold ones (or libation of choice), and perhaps a pizza. I love pizza, but this is about you, not me. Spend a night doing research on the forum by taking notes, writing down ideas, sketching out a plan on how to do it. Once you have a few ideas, take a step back and start planning! You just saved... at least $950 bucks depending on if you went for the single Bic pen or the lavish deluxe jelly roll pens.

Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Invest your time, not your money. The dividends are better, especially these days. Once you get it figured out then you push funds to scale it up and take it to the bank.

Agreed. Time investment always churns out a higher ROI with proper planning and strategy.

I flip products locally from Amazon for ok changes, and it's basically little to no time investment.

Item goes for $500, but I buy a gift card for $500 through a proxy affiliate account for 6% earnings.

I don't buy the item via my link or cookie session, I buy it separately.

I then go to my site and either sell it at Amazon pricing to make back my money, or I flip it locally on CL / my FB page of bargain buyers.

They incentive I give for them buying a gift card via my link, then transfering the money to another proxy account is no sales tax and a small discount for paying that way.

This gives me 12% back on $500, and I can offer them like 3% off for paying with the weird method. In total of 10 sales monthly I'd have 4 people pay this way. The rest were willing to take on the 2.9%+$0.30 fee if I placed it on them for the item.

Thanks you all for your answers. I think I'm gonna follow your advices and work on things I enjoy (mobile games) and will see where it takes me.

If there is money in what you love doing, you will soon realize how little the money means.

Good luck and be sure to stick to it. The guys who made angry birds took them 8 years to become an "overnight success".
