    Hi guys,

I have a post, which i have built links to that brings in over 1000 visitors a day.

The post attracts a number of key terms (all very similar) with good search volumes, and i am ranked #1 for 2 terms which have 4000 and 8000 search terms each.

I am wanting to build further posts around this, as there are a number of long term phrases, related to this article, that would bring be a fair bit of traffic, and i could interlink to from my existing post.

As the page that currently ranks is just a post, within a category, how would i best structure my new posts around this area?

Should I add a new category, naming it related to the keyterms im currently ranking for, move the existing post into that category, and then build all future related posts in the same category?

Or is there another way i should go about doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

Write all of the pages, publish them and see how they do. You can link them at the bottom of your popular post saying, "If you're interested in this, you might also want to check out..."

At the bottom of your posts, you could interlink them as you said. Just go ahead an write every article you desire to. Then, if they are not preforming as well as you would want them to, just build some backlinks to the link. Then you would be golden!

Just keep on posting the other ones, see how they are doing and probably link to the juice grabbing post. GL

Assuming you use Wordpress, consider adding a related posts plugin. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP) is probably one of the more popular options out there. It's not fancy, but it seems to do the best job actually finding out which posts of yours most closely relate to the current post. The interlinking that this should create should help lend authority to your other pages and also increase engagement with your site, all of which looks good to big G.

Im currently using shareaholic for this, but thanks for the recommendation.

    Also im using wordpress.

So would the best option be,. just add these new articles anywhere on the site, and interlink from my main post, or create a more niche category around my current article, and for future articles?
