Making $1000 a day is doable, and can be done with minimal expenses. Depending on your level of experience all you really need is hosting/domain(s). Then all you need is traffic. If you are going the paid route, then you will also need to invest in PPC.
But making it to this level takes a lot of work initially, but after you get something that's making you $10/day, you can scale that to $100/day, then to $300/day, and so on.
It all depends on you, your work ethic, and how bad you want it.
