This hosting is not good, i do not recommend it,
Few days ago they had a small problem and lost all data from few disks , including the one that I had hosted my website. I told them to use a recovery specialist and they banned my account telling me that they already destroyed the hdd.
I would not recommend to anyone this host, why would you destroy the HDD if you did not try to recover with some specialists in recovery ?
Plus why would you ban me ?! Just because i told you to pay some professionals!?
I am sure you can find better hosting with better support for same price or better here on BHW , hastehosting will dissapoint you
The reason why you were removed from our live chat is we spent a majority of today explaining the issue that we were unable to recover the data. Our TOS explains this pretty clearly that the backups we perform are a courtsey and we are NOT responsible for data loss
"Using our backup service is at your own risk. The backup service is provided to you as a sole courtesy. Hastehosting is not responsible for files and/or data residing on your account. You agree to take full responsibility for files and data transferred and to maintain all appropriate backup of files and data stored on Hastehosting servers. We provide multiple ways for you to obtain these backups."
We are very very sorry and we know that these words do not bring back your data. However, if your data was so important you should have provided multiple methods of backup yourself. This is not a hosting responsibility to ensure your data is 100% safe.
The simple fact that you destroyed disks after just 1-2 days is not ok , there are so many specialists in this that can recover almost any data. Even if they can cost more is not ok to ignore that option. A top service would never do this.
I do not get it why would you destroy the HDD after 1 day of trying to recover , I understand that you have certificated Linux Admins but they are not recovering specialists
As I explained to you, you dont know the exact issue and what caused it. Simply googling "how to fix a failed disc array" and becoming an "expert" in the subject doest not mean you know anything. As I explained to you, for the 15th time now. We have not one but TWO of our head certified linux administrators say that the data was gone. But you were pretty persistent on harassing us in the chat. However, in that regard, We appreciate your feedback
Off course i am not happy with this , destroying disks should be the last option not the first.
I know google is not making me an expert but there are specialists that you can pay 200-300$ (if they can recover the data) and will try to recover for you . A simple trying was not killing anyone. I am more mad because you did not try all the ways to recover our data than anything else
Plus something else that i really did not like was that i was not informed about this. My customers contacted me telling me why my website not working. They tell me that they sent the email but i checked inbox and spam and was nothing there

maybe not 99.9% but I had moments when my site was locked out because someone from same server was using too much memory and i was not able to load my site.
Also make sure you backup your data otherwise they will just dont care about you .. pointing to toss everytime..
I told Jake that i think there was an other problem with host not just some HDD problem other-way why would you destroy hdds so fast ? like 1-2 days after problem?
This is very suspicious to me . I think they tried to hide something that's why they destroyed the hdds next day.
Ok let me chime in here I have had this host for 2 Months now NO ISSUES AT ALL AFTER SETUP WHICH WAS CAUSED BY ME THEY TOOK THE TIME TO FIX IT. I can't tell you how many times jake has stayed on Skype with Elle for 2 to 3 hours because I'm not sure how to do something and if he can't he gets me in contact with tech support and my issues are fixed in seconds of them going into my root. Hosting providers are not REQURIED TO PROVIDE BACKUPS THEY DO IT AS A FRIENDLY GESTURE IF YOU DONT TAKE ANY BACKUPS YOURSELF HES NOT AT FAULT. I TAKE 3 Backups
1. Haste Hosts Backup System
2. Wordpress VaultPress (Included with my premium account subscription)
3. I manually BACK MY WHOLE SITE UP ONCE A MONTH
IF ONE BACKUP GETS CORRUPT OR BROKEN I HAVE 2 OTHER COPIES. Like Jake said sorry that your content was lost but shame on you for not 1. Reading the TOS and 2. Not making any manual backups
