100 powerful Haro links earned

I have received over 100 niche relevant pest control Haro links from powerful websites like: washington post, USA Today, NBC News, handyman and many more over the last 3 months. I use a excellent writer and my rankings have not improved locally.
Do only local links matter? I spend 225$ a week for my Haro writer but, I feel only local links matter after all the powerful links and brand mentions have not moved the needle.
I’ll also mention my website cost 10k usd to code excellent technical seo. We blog 2-4x a week and pass core vitals. No rankings gained in months. Is this because I have no local links for a service area business or because my website is only 10 months old and it takes time? Thank you wonderful SEO experts for your time.

New goals are sponsored content on local editorial websites and Press releases and attending local chamber of commerce to network for local links. All ideas appreciated!

Can't you use social media or paid traffic? You seem to have the budget for that. Why don't you go the paid route instead of waiting for Google to pick you? SEO isn't the only way to gain traffic, you know?!
 
I’ll give you a simple free tip and you can send those haro amounts to me and @davids355 cause we will be saving you thousands of dollars, enough of the joke. He had written a seo guide where he showed a simple trick to rank in local seo, basically every week write two reviews in your listing and included keywords in it, you can play with exact, long form etc it worked like a charm when I tried it

IF I understand you correctly if you have no rankings local but I guess you have them nationality or international then here is why you are not showing well enough to Google you want to rank local for example do these things for local links

  1. Directory links in your target city or area if possible
  2. Get featured in a low Local online new paper website
  3. Get backlinks of other businesses for example say Dr practice, food shop website, health shop anything else local more less
  4. Get links to a local college or university if possible
  5. Get links to a school if possible
  6. say there is a famous person in your area get a backlink of him or her if they have a website or Twitter or social media or other social channels
 
If you are targeting a specific city locally then first go and build links and citations on local websites and social media sites instead of going for a international news sites.

It's honestly not that hard to get I am not a good writer by any means I get Haro links often for free or so.

Does paid Sponsored content help in local big editorial news sites?

I was thinking sponsored content during local news, T.V weather report. Indirect SEO from Brand search.

I do not believe in ppc. Everyone in my niche does that and prices are extremely high. I want long term results. SEO in my niche is far less competitive than paid clicks. Will social media paid advertising boost seo?

The secret to Haro use a good writer. Say you have a PhD and spin google content, I get 1-2 links a day off Haro.
 
Just my suggestion guessing your niche is the same as your username you can partner with local bed, mattress, furniture shop for promotion.

I would agree you picked basically the world hardest niche getting featured on some sort of news site will take serious money probably I chatted to a friend who deal with your niche he was selling minimum price for Gambling pbns costs like $200 I was kind of interested and surprised how everything in this niche costs around double the price of other niches.

I know. :) Its high risk high reward niche for sure.
 
NBC or the washington post can look fancy but definitely not the best if you're trying to sell fish in some small town in Norway, get posts from any local paper and focus on the small local aspects of SEO, get reviews as mentioned above, have a decent GMB, local listings and so.

Alternatively try to push some traffic from social media, focus on local hashtags and locations
 
For social media should I be advertising to my website? What about buying likes and followers does that help or is google onto it?
Because of everyone’s help my new plan is.

Local guest posts and link exchange brochures at business owner meet and greets.

Social media advertising.

Paid sponsored content in local editorial online publications.

can anyone add local strategies to this?

I’d like to know how please. I have an expertise in a particular area. I find getting a HARO link tough despite well thought out responses to the email requests.
