    Dear BHW members,

I will give $100 to someone who can show me how to find out if a yahoo account is suspended or not (without sending email to that account).

Anyone knows how to do this, $100 is yours.

    J

Maybe try hitting "lost password" and then that would tell you whether or not such an email exists.

If you're trying to unlock that account, it could be that too many attempts were done on a specific yahoo server. You can try logging in through different yahoo servers:
    Code:
    [URL]http://cn.mail.yahoo.com/?id=77070[/URL]
    [URL]http://edit.india.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=in[/URL]
    [URL]http://edit.europe.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=uk[/URL]
    [URL]http://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=cf[/URL]
    [URL]http://my.yahoo.co.jp/[/URL]
    [URL]http://login.yahoo.com/config/login[/URL]

    Or...

    Password Helper
    Code:

It looks like this is not understood. I do not know the passwords. I am trying to figure out if a yahoo account is suspended, or not. Yahoo Account Creators or verification software won't do it. They cannot differentiate between a valid account and a suspended account.

All those who PM'ed, just read this.

Maybe you might have to pull data from different sides, one checking the IDs against the database, telling you if they exist or not, the other checking the IDs against Y!A to see if the accounts are active/show up there, if both are a no, then you can presume its a suspended account.

Bottom line is, this job is over. I figured myself out a way to find out yahoo suspended accounts programmatically (and without spamming yahoo to death). I doubt anyone will have an idea what it is though.

I had a bot developed that checks whether a yahooid is valid or not. No idea about "suspended". Don't want your $100 either way. PMme if necessary.
