I have over 90 backlinks compared to competitor 10... I am using high PR sites like ezine, squidoo, .... about 10 different sources. ******** links pointed back to a specific page for the keyword. Page ranked number 6 and will not budge. Competition ranked #2 below wikipedia only has 10 backlinks from Google PR sites of 1 and 0. My articles have been postd 2 weeks. Why am I seeing no result what so ever?

The number of backlinks is not the only thing that google takes into consideration.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself:
Are you using good quality spun content on the high pr sites?
How about your on-site seo? Are you stuffing keywords overly? Is your content detailed enough?
How many pages does your site have?
Are you diversifying your anchor text? Over optimization for one keyword isn't recommended.

I can go on and on but these should be enough to get you started.

how did you check the number of back links? google doesn't show all of them

and I guess that 2 weeks is not enough time for a change

Number of backlinks is not only factors for better serp. After Google Panda update lots of changes done in Google's serp algorithm. You will have to consider about, content quality, backlinks quality, design of website, site speed and bounce rate as well. These factors may help you for better serp for your keyword.

yahoo url explorer shows 39 backlinks, yes the back links are from high PR sites... competition has exact keyword in their domain, and only showing 4 backlinks according to yahoo url explorer... all low quality pr sites with spun articles. Competition has about 700 words... my page has only 30 (mostly pictures.)

my articles are unique byt not spun.

I could add text, make page titles better, h1-h6 tags... competiton has 5 page Ad Sense site.

My site is not specific to keyword, but a high quality site with about 100 pages, Google PR 3,

As stated above, backlinks are only a quarter of the battle... How is your on-page? Also, always remember... Quality of Quantity...

Well onpage SEO could be better... So i'll fix that. But is the other guys one home page ranking higher too because he has more supporting pages specifically for the keyword? (He has a 5 page site concerning keyword) My site is not specific to keyword... it covers different topics but in the same realm. ) In other words do I also need to have more supporting pages specifically for the keyword too? You follow me???

Sometimes I am starting to believe there is absolutely no way to boost rankings at all and that Google completely randomizes rankings based on nothing other than putting on a blindfold and throwing a dart at the board... This way they have no liability and nobody knows the truth to exploit their system. it makes total sense to me as you cannot please everybody. They have created this dream world of SEO to hype up internet business and we all live in this Matrix and believe it to be true... Does anybody know the truth? Is this the Scientology of the Internet? Should I take the red pill? -Sorry for my negative attitude.

After I read your post and everything you cleared out here, let me give you one golden advice: Build back-links to your backlinks. Article blast to those squidoos and ezines you told about would be just perfect. Randomize the anchor, and once you are done, blast these squidoos and ezines again with X-Rumer. (Warning, no ScrapeBox!).

Once you do this, you'll be at worst number 2 for your keyword. Give me some rep once this happen ;)

Or better yet, use a browser that doesn't save cookies between sessions - examples are incognito in Chrome and Private browsing in others.

Why no Scrapebox for links to Backlinks?
