This site has domain name specials on it right now showing a bunch for .99 on GoDaddy
link

That's the one! Sorry I forgot you had to click through the website. I have spent $9 on 8 domains so far. I'm trying to get as many keywords that are worth the effort since I have invested in my own reseller hosting (5 ded ips and 50gb space and 500gb band)

Is your plan to use the reseller hosting as a incentive to buyers of your underperforming sites? Take the sites that don't do
that well and sell them and offer the buyer a free six months or year of hosting.....many times they will just stay with your
hosting and you get a extra revenue stream.

By the way, the Original Posters name is Bluematter.....not Bluehost....:)

Lol too much domain hosting/buying/video making the past few days.

And yes you would be correct. "Don't want to sacrifice that SEO ranking by transferring". "I always keep SEO optimized and you keep your revenue stream"... Plus I want to pick up website reselling on the side as a offline income generator. I have no problem selling people stuff face to face, rather its probably a better strength than my online marketing at the moment.

On a side note, looks like the godaddy domain sale is done. I am finishing up hosting all my domains and creating a few pages to ping. I need to get started with indexing my sites...

WIth respect to my whatismathematics site, I'm getting a couple clicks every day on the adsense but making 0.04 a click. No thanks... I'm going to insert revelant mathematics/education clickbank ads instead.

Lastly, how are you guys getting quality content for your website? Are you outsourcing it? If so, where? And what are you paying for each article?

I was thinking the same thing when I read your post on the mathematics site.....that educational programs would be a
better fit.

It's always good to ask two questions in regard to doing niche research.......why has no one done it before and what kind
of person would be asking that kind of long tail question? Child? Parent? Non English speaker?

As far as the math site making like 8 cents a day........look at it this way....with a brand new site, with almost no content, your going to make enough back in Adsense to pay for that 99 cent domain in the first month. After that, its all profit.

Now some may argue that you spent money on hosting, which I myself consider a staple cost, like cable or a utility bill.......if your going to be in IM at all you have to have hosting.....without it, its like owning a car and refusing to buy gas for it.......it's not going to take you too far.

Others may argue that you spent your time looking for your keyword......I call that educational time, and how many other educational formats do you see where the end result ends up paying you back with a somewhat passive income stream?

At 8 cents a day, by the end of the year, the site will have paid for the domain for this year and next year....that's not a bad start.

I'm not saying to keep it at 8 cents a day.....but even if you could not improve on this site you would not lose money on it. It would then be a good candidate for selling and making money from the hosting.

I write my own content, most of the time for a new site....till I see how it's going to perform.

If you can write posts on a forum.....you can write content for your site.

Hosting + I paid $10 for some content. I think I paid like $7 for the domain too. It was 7 months ago when I was doing random keyword searching with no idea (and still don't) how to market keywords, rank, backlink etc.

I'm hoping some clickbank offers will hit 3-5 times a month and that'll pay nicely.

I have a couple plugin questions if you don't mind.

I am using wordpress all in one seo by yoast. Is that ok instead of your recommendation? Didn't know if I need to change on all my other sites. I can just change on this new one I am doing following your thread for now if it is that much better.

Also, for the google xml map plugin, that yoast seo plugin I have created a sitemap too, do I still need to do the google xml plugin instead?

Thanks again!

You dont have to exactly MATCH what i have got, even a keyword with atleast 5k+ searces and $1 cpc is enough.

And my chosen keyword is not of low competition by any means, The competition is of medium to high level.

GUYS GUYS GUYS DON'T TRY TO MATCH WHAT I HAVE GOT, IF YOU FIND SOMETING LIKE IT GO FOR IT OTHERWISE A KEYWORD WITH BIT LOW SEARCHES WILL DO THE JOB ASWELL.

I'm glad I read this. I always thought that you wanted a low competition. I am going to follow this thread and I've already learned quite a bit. Thanks.

Is this good to go

Are you sure that n/a page is ranking on spot 1 which is designed in 2013?

Is so, you can go for it otherwise no as the competition seems to be a bit high. If you have good exp in SEO or can shed some $$$, then also, you can go for it.

Also, take a note if the pages on the first 10 spots are exactly optimized for the same exact keyword. If not then the keyword is a goldmine with good search volume and having high PPC advertiser base.

Thank you very much for your effort and clear explanations. It's been a while since I "played" with IM, and all helpful posts like yours are always welcome!! I already have some keywords with exact match domains (.org, .info) and 1.900-5.400 monthly searches, yeah, not a lot, but just a few competitors and acceptable CPC (3-6$)... I'm gonna go for it!

Btw, if facebook pages and yahoo answers are ranked very high (even 1# for one specific kw!), that's a good sign, right? Thanks again for everything!

Yes my one of my keywords I'm using along this journey has a facebook and yahoo answer in the top 10... its a gold mine since they are usually beat out (facebook only has like 700 followers).

Not sure it was said somewhere but, do you pick Exact Match Domains or just niche related?

Thanks and good luck with your journey! :)

Bluematter did say that if EMD is available, grab it otherwise simply add a prefix or suffix to the EMD..

I'm currently reading the "100 a day blogging (4th edition)" which I got off of BHW. I've gutted his article framework and made a Google Drive version. It's pretty basic but I think I will find it helpful because it provides a pretty clear and easy to follow structure for our blog articles. I've made it viewable to those with the link - apparently I haven't been a member long enough to post links. Is that determined by time or number of posts?

Hey bluematter,

thanks for this first off, I wanted to give you a suggestion and maybe usefull for others as well since sometimes thread starters can make it hard, when trying to help :). So no offense intended at all! But I see service providers do it, and its realy not funny too look trough 500 pages or ask questions multiple times, or look for something which is written in the same colors as the rest.

maybe add a little summury at the end of each important post so people can easily skipp to other parts, maybe good for people who understand a little more seo, than the beginners out here. I think for beginners it is best to read trough it all since some questions might have been asked and answered before, so beginners soak it all up!!!

anyway this is what I had in mind:

Steps taken before:
1. intro 2. niche research 3. domain and wp theme 4. wordpress plugins 5. 100 a day calculation 6. deep niche analysis 7. hopefully coming soon ;)

And maybe someone can add a page with askked questions and line them up for example the first 5 pages pages and you add that in the end of each important post as well. like: FAQ 1, FAQ 2, FAQ 3 or FAQ 1-5, FAQ 6-10, FAQ 11-15

I hope this is not to big of an hassle, just trying to help! and we can help too :)
