I have one other thread here that is for $200 a day via adsense, and amazon. That journey is going well with my sites growing at about 30% a month.

Today I thought I would start another journey with Kindle.

Last month I published a book using KDP and it has gotten an average of 1 download a day. I am selling the book for 99c, so it only makes about 35c a day. Although this is hardly anything it took zero promotion, and under one hour to make.

    My thoughts:

Spend an hour a day to write a new book, publish one new book per day, scale up.

If I make an average of 35c a day off each book, in one year I will have 365 books * 0.35 = $124.60 a day.

If you take into account that some books might be flops, others might be more successful, I think that $100 a day is reachable.

I will be posting my book count, and number of sales in this thread. (I might do daily, or weekly not sure yet)

I will be experimenting with different niches, and different types of books.

I will likely be making series's of books about 7 books long each. (new series each week)
I will take the successful ones and adding on to them.

Today I will count as my first day.

I now have 2 books published (Second one went live just now with a free promo for 5 days)
    I sold 1 book today.
I earned $0.35 off the sale

    More to come soon!

Not a bad idea, I'd go more for quality instead of quantity though. I'd rather make lots of money from 5 books than lots of money from 1000 books.

Ya, she did a 50% scam thing... she sent all the buyers that she could not deliver and to request a refund form paypal... Still waiting on my money to be refunded...

I spend an hour on each book. I type fast, and do one read through. I do not have the skills myself to write amazing books, so I am just trying to make some average ones, put them out there, and have them all sell a bunch.

The issue is that unless you have an AMAZING book it wont sell millions. Mine are good enough for their cost to make the reader happy.

Interesting. I have a kindle myself, I read a lot more because of it. I'll have to get in the kindle game sometime in the future.
Good luck with your journey OP. I'll be following you.

I will give this a try. I love kindle because of its e-ink feature. I can read many books without straining my eyes.

Keep going, I just subscribed to your journey, best of luck. I dont think btw that you can write 'good quality books' in just 1 hour, however still best of luck.

    Hi,

An area some people may not touch upon here is if you are short on time, you should invest a bit of time in learning a GTD system.

It will save you a whole bunch of headache and ensure you output huge volumes of work in short amounts of time with no downtime at all.

I use http://thesecretweapon.org/the-answer which is free based on Evernote

mine are not full books they are short stories that are from 5 to 10 pages in length.

I will put them together at the end in a bundle pack where together they might add up to be 50 pages.

So today I have not sold any e-books yet, my new book I sent out yesterday now has over 80 downloads that were free.

I just sent my 4th book to be published, and my 3rd book goes on free trial tomorrow morning.

I don't know much about kindle but when you write these short stories, do you include pictures and a book cover?
