Before I start, I highly recommend that you check out @Sherbert Hoover's thread: A Financial Blueprint to $280,00 per year. This thread will run in a similar format, but focusing solely on Instagram.

Instagram was one of the first Digital Marketing ventures that I got into and, to this date, I still firmly believe it is the easiest. I don't think there is enough storage on my computer to document the number of times that I've seen a thread along the lines of "How can I make money?", but if there was, the file would be HUGE. Every time I see one of those threads, I just want to scream INSTAGRAM.

I understand you guys don't have all day, so I've broken the thread down into two parts: The Blueprint and my personal MassPlanner Routine. The method is pretty much a basic Instagram strategy. Nothing new there.

    The Blueprint:

I've been tinkering with Instagram for a while now, so all of these figures are based on my own experience. You may see better results. You may see worse. Who knows? This section will pretty much just be boring maths. Scroll down for the actual method.

While you don't need to spend a penny for this method to show good results, it helps a LOT, especially when it comes to upscaling. I'm going to be 'investing' $300 into this method. Price breakdown:
I'm also going to be assuming that you will be reinvesting $300 (Adding another 100 accounts) each month.

    Month one:
The first month is most definitely the slowest. I usually dedicate exactly 30 days to warming up, which is as fast as I dare go. Increasing the maximum actions for following/ liking by 15-25 each day, you can expect to see around 1500-2000 followers per account, if you are starting from 0 followers.

    Month one = 150,000 (1500 x 100 accounts)

    Month two:
This is where things start to pick up. So far you'll be done warming up and up to full/semi power (depending how far you're pushing your accounts).

Of course things depend massively on the niche, but I'd expect anywhere from 80-200 followers per day (Let's settle on 100). by the end of this month you should have 300,000 from your first 100 accounts, and 450,000 in total when you factor in the 100 new accounts that you added in.

    Month 5:
I've skipped ahead 3 months because I feel this is the point where accounts start to get unmanagable and you run out of niches (I will come onto that later)

    First 100: 1.35m
    Second 100: 1.05m
    Third 100: 750,000
    Fourth 100: 450,000
    Firth 100: 150,000

Total followers at month 5: 3.75m (Average of 7,500 per account)

    Month 6:
Right around now I would expect you to be gaining anywhere from 150-400 followers every day. Your accounts will start to grow organically and (I have never don this myself) you could begin to join engagment groups.

    First 100: 1.95m
    Second 100: 1.35m
    Third 100: 1.05m
    Fourth 100: 750,000
    Firth 100: 450,000

Total folloers at month 6: 5.55m (Average of 11,100 per account)

    Month 12:
Fast forwards to the end of the year, and you're sat on quite the network! I'm gonna use 200/day for my figures just to make it easy. I know for a fact it will be much, much higher. Especially if you use my network advice later on.

    First 100: 5.55m
    Second 100: 4.95m
    Third 100: 4.35m
    Fourth 100: 3.75m
    Firth 100: 3.15m

Total folloers at month 6: 21.75 (Average of 43,500 per account)

    ----

That is crazy! After a year, you have gone from 0 to 22.000.000 followers!

Imagine you sold your accounts at $10 per 1000 followers. That's $217,500 a year!

    Costs ($4165):
    • 500 accounts - $1000
    • 57 months worth of VPS (1 per 100 accounts) - $855
    • 57 months of proxies (1 per account) - $2964 (It would actually cost you $1344 if you upgraded your proxy plan accordingly)
    • 57 months of MP - $966 (They give you a discount but I can't remember what)
    Net Profit: $213,335 (50x ROI!!)

I'm not gonna lie. It can be hard at times. In the above blueprint, I talked about running 500 High-Quality accounts, but that doesn't mean you can't do 100, 50, or even 10. Some people here will be managing thousands, with automated and highly-refined systems. Others will be growing one account by hand. It honestly doesn't matter.

    Setting up MassPlanner:

There are plenty of Instagram Automation tools out there. Followliker, Instagress, and Instaplus - Just to name a few, however, I've found MassPlanner to be the best option out there. The targeting functions are superior, and it just functions.... better.

I've been messing around with MP for months now and I've got some small but (hopefully) useful tips that I feel really make a difference with my campaigns.

    Avoiding niche cannibalisation:
As I'm sure you can imagine, it's a good idea to have as many niches as you can when running a high number of accounts. The last thing you want is to have your potential followers bombarded with follow requests from 500 of your accounts.

In order to avoid any issues like that, you can go ahead and make sure your accounts never interact with the same person. To do this, head over to "Settings", "Social Platforms", "Instagram" and then the top two settings, as shown here:

Targeting followers for a better conversion rate:
Most people who I have spoken to just set the daily following limits and then forget about the rest. Big mistake. You can easily end up following other Automated accounts and popular accounts.

Have a play around with some of the settings there. I always like to follow people with a profile picture, post from the last 3 months, <400 followers and <1500 following, no KWs like "buy" in their bio etc etc.

I would also recommend setting up one account called "Example" with settings that you can easily copy to others. This saves a LOTTTTTTT of time.

    Finding target accounts:
One of the biggest components to your account's success will be your target accounts. picking medium-small sized accounts with great engagement is crucial. if you pick accounts that are too big you risk getting followers who are not targetted enough and if you pick accounts with low engagement... you too will have low engagement.

Try and find a good account in your niche, and then view it from your mobile. Press the arrow next to the "Follow" button and you should see some recommended accounts. This will allow you to see the accounts that people follow as well as the one you are looking at. Filter out the crappy ones and save the rest. I like to create .txt files with both #'s and nice accounts in the niche.

When your account is big enough, you can even do this to see what your audience is interested in!

    Posting:
Content. Easily the most important aspect of any Instagram campaign. Get it right and you will go far, get it wrong, and you will flop. I'm going to break this down into two stages: Finding #'s, and doing the actual posting.

You don't just want to limit your reach to your followers. you should be trying to get your content out to as many people as possible, which is where #'s come in.

I use the website http://iqta.gs/ to input a KW, say "travel" and then it throws out some related #'s. Click on them to add them to the clipboard, and keep searching until you have 20-50 #'s.

Now, just like with niche-cannibalization, we don't want to fill up some #'s with our 500 accounts, which is why we will be setting up a randomiser. If you are using MassPlanner reposting (More on that later) you should see something like this:

If you are using a custom campaign, just do this manually.

If you've read any of @IGKing's posts, you'll see how important having a good theme is. When it comes to MassPlanner, there are two routes that you can go down: Reposting, and picking content yourself.

Reposting is by far the easiest as all you have to do is input an account that you like and MassPlanner automatically reposts the content. The downside to this is that most accounts do not have a theme that will look good when reposted, so you often end up with a miss-match of posts.

Have a look at the above image. That right there is a good theme! Consistent posting will pay off in the long run. To do this, you can use a tool like 4kStogram (See @Jaymien's post to get it free here) to download content from accounts that you like, and then put it all into a folder.

The head over to MassPlanner, create a destination list with all of the accounts in that niche, or that you want to post to (Make sure to click "Wall/profile" on the far right), create a campaign with that destination list, and then head over to "What to Publish"

Here you can easily add all the pictures that are in a folder at once, saving a TONNNN of time! You can set a default post template using things like the meta tag of the image, or you can go through and do this 1 by 1 in MassPlanner.

    Creating a network:

I'm assuming that you've all heard of Engagement Groups and shout outs right? Imagine your own, private, niche-specific Shoutout group with hundreds of accounts, millions of followers. Cool huh? This is what's really going to make your network stand out from the crowd and massively increase the mediocre figures I used in my Blueprint calculations.

Before you set up any accounts, I would HIGHLY recommend that you plan out your niches thoroughly so that you know how they will all interlink. Let's take the niche "Fashion" as an example. Here is my niche plan (Made with http://draw.io/):

Having a well-structured layout like this will increase your engagement rate exponentially, opening new doors for you like niche-specific shout outs across a network of x followers, joining larger engagement groups (Again I have never done this) and even making your own automatic power likes network.

    ---

TL;DR - Add 100 new accounts every month for five months. Have 22m followers after 1 year!

Hopefully, you've found something of use inside this post. I tried to be as honest and open as I could when writing this. The figures I used in my Blueprint were the minimum figures that I've seen across all of my accounts in different niches like I said, it will vary massively from person to person. Also, let me know if you like the "Spoiler" layout that I used.

I am up to 1531 Instagram, 1536 Pinterest and another 507 mix and not selling anything. It's worth allot more long term. Never sell your passive income investments! I also invested less buying my own server and IPs.

Great share but too much numbers speculation. It's a lot harder to do something than just saying it.
Saying "I just need to sell 1 item worth $20" is easy but the truth is, most people struggle to sell 1 item ... if you get what i'm saying lol
If you have the funds to invest want great side income, this is awesome! I do this myself and well now it's fairly easy, currently managing ~300 and plan to do 500 but when i first started 2 years ago, i struggled like hell

This is very true too, OP stated 500 accounts with ~40-50k followers, even making $50/month on each account selling a product or selling shoutouts ($50 is extremely low and realistic goal for 40-50k followers) that is already $25k/month passive. I'd rather have 25k+ passive for future and keep growing than sellout for $200k, if that.

Go slow, build your network. Once you have traffic you can sell anything...don't worry about that it will come. Be prepared to work allot. Tommorrow I am spending 14 hours making emails and Pinterest accounts. Also if your going to do it, do it right. Buy your own IPS and sever. Don't waste time with blacklisted IPS. I spent $3100 up front for my IPS and $200 a monthly. (Proxies of course)

Did you monetize the accounts or just let them grow?

The easy part is to automate postings with all those accounts, but I think the hard part comes when you have to monetize and make each of these acc convert into money, how do you do that without sttrugling

What an amazing share mate! :)

Do you write just 1 email in you bio for shoutouts&business or have 1 email for each account and forward all email to 1 main one?

How do you use your IG network for monetizing? I guess its selling shoutouts and doing free giveaways with CPA?
