You sit here reading this thread in despair. Reminiscing the times when good 'ol Angela and Paul packets were enough to see the greener pastures.

But now you're a G00gle hating, SEO disputing, fire breathing naysayer. You gave up on SEO once your half-assed Adsense sites tanked and you started supporting the movement to bring justice to Google through political intervention (???).

Let's get real. Google never liked you. Watch any webmasters video to make it crystal clear.

Their job is to make Adwords profitable. It definitely isn't to serve up unregulated results and be the philanthropic search engine they never were.

White hat? There is no white hat. Forget about that concept, it doesn't exist. Everything you do is classified as grey or black hat. Unless of course you do nothing. Which isn't classified as white hat... but is classified as nothing. Maybe we can call it nothing-hat.

You want to make money. You want to make money. You want to make a lot of money.

Accept the fact that whatever you do now can penalize your site. Building targeted anchor text links within top quality, editorial level content can still be penalized. A vengeful competitor sending hate links your way can also get you penalized.

Accept it and move on. Move on to the place where you understand the risks associated with SEO; calculate profits and weigh the odds in your favor - despite the rugged playing field.

I'm here to show you today that SEO will never die. It cannot die unless all results returned are sponsored or search engines are no longer referred to.

How can I prove to you that SEO isn't dead? I'll make $100,000.

    Why $100,000?

    1.) Gameshow-esque number.

2.) I Personally feel it's a life changing amount. A relatively sizable sum of money.

    3.) Because it's $100,000

Making $100,000 isn't possible in a dead industry right? I'm going to use this thread to document my efforts - extensively. You'll see:

1.) What my game plan is to make $100,000

2.) How I execute my plans and the methodologies.

    3.) The numbers.

I will not reveal delicate details such as site urls, keywords, etc till the very end i.e. $100,000 net profit. This is to prevent anyone from ruining the project. However if required, I will send sensitive information to admins to authenticate this case study intermittently.

The interesting part about this project is, I have a time limit.

I need to make $100,000 in 8 months. This is around twice the US household income in 2/3s of the time. I reckon that's a good challenge.

My first post below will show you my basic idea and other initial details. So let's not waste any time and make $100,000 starting now.

Ok, when I thought I'd do this case study. I have to admit. I wasn't sure about how I was going to make the money. I just knew I had to do it.

So after spending some time evaluating and searching for a low risk, high return method I figured I would create small sites, selling products/services.

These sites are not designed in any way to be authoritative. They will mainly focus on a few things:

    1.) SEO traffic

    2.) The main offering

    3.) Conversions

    4.) List Building

Now, you may ask - "Why list building?". Well, these sites are not designed to last forever in the SERPs. If they happen to be slapped/penalized, I would like to have a list to market to in the future. It makes a lot of sense to juice every last drop from the traffic you work so hard for. These lists are priceless if you know how to market to them efficiently.

So to begin with, I've come up with 6 business ideas. I will be creating 2 sites for each business module. 1 as my main site and the other as a follow up in case the first one is slapped/penalized.

How did I arrive at these 6 ideas?

Again, it was a low risk/high return mindset. I wanted to sell things that were not very complicated and at the same time had a good amount of demand.

I tried to stay away from highly competitive verticals since time is of the essence. I want my sites to rank well and start making me money within the first month of their existence.

Which brings me to my next point. I am using completely fresh domains. They are not EMDs. I am not an avid supporter of EMDs because of the poor name quality/availability and continuous problems they face due to the algo changes. If you know how to make EMDs work well for you that's fine I just don't use them much.

Let me give you some insight on the business modules, sites and other financial details.

    Module 1:

Selling products and services. Average net profit per sale: $30.

Competition is on the higher side.

    Module 2:

Selling products and services. Average net profit per sale: $30.

Competition is on the medium-low side.

    Module 3:

Selling services. Average net profit per sale: $15.

Competition is on the medium side.

    Module 4:

Selling services. Average net profit per sale: $15.

Competition is on the medium side.

    Module 5:

Selling services. Average net profit per sale: $15.

Competition is on the medium side.

    Module 6:

Selling services. Average net profit per sale: $10.

Competition is on the low side.

    ---

The avg. net profit/sale is not so high therefore I have to make up with relatively good volume.

Since the first 1-2 months will go in preparation and ranking I will need close to $600/day from all the sites combined starting soon. To achieve this goal, each of the 6 sites need to make $100/day from the second month onwards. As you can see, this is seeming difficult already. But don't worry - I'm pretty headstrong and confident I can make it.

I will add more sites, change business modules or do whatever I need to if the needs arises. However, I will not use any other traffic generation technique apart from SEO.

I am going to buy the domains and start the journey tomorrow.

Feel free to ask any questions in the thread. I will do my best to answer them.

Yes, these are going to be absolutely new sites. I've already registered one domain, rest will be registered in a few hours and then this'll be underway.

I will not be using adsense.

Good that you have the 'belive' that you can do it.

    But you won't sorry.

    Anyway - good luck.

@gypsy. - Yeah it was negative coz the fucking life is unfair and that's my opinion. Life isn't about unicorns and good words. There is a difference between reality and dreams.. sometimes dreams come true. IN MY OWN OPINION it isn't going to happen here. Still I wish luck to the OP.

    /end of MY OPINION.

wow, good luck, I don't know you, but from your tone, I expect you to either make your quota or come very close.

I wouldn't pay no mind to those that will post negativity, I am sure you know that already.

Good idea and gameplan. You'd be better served setting up a blog to chronicle your adventure. Easier to read through than all of the people commenting.

    Thank you.

I guess we will have to see. I do not mind your negativity, it'll just motivate me more.

    Thank you.

Thank you. I've been thinking of that. It'll be easier to organize of course.

I don't think I have any major achievements worth mentioning, I imagine this would be the first one.

I've ranked sites in the past and monetized them through affiliate offers/services as almost every small internet marketer has done.

I've decided to document the entire effort on a new blog, which I'll set up today. It'll be a mess to update individually in this thread.
