Here is a test of character and business ethics. If you had the choice of gaining 10 new customers every day that never come back, or 1 new repeat customer each week, which one would you choose? Personally, I would choose 1 new repeat customer each week, because if they come back, then that means I am running a solid business, and after a while I won't have to worry about finding new customers. Yea, it may take longer to start making good money, but it is definitely worth it in the long run.

Hey without bread - butter is of no use...!

It has to be new repeat customer each week - every time...

Because that is the foundation you use to build upon then do not worry for more customers - they will always come they are the butter that spreads on the bread...

Business is not rocket science but without common sense you have no business!

    1 repeat customer every week.

That means I'm doing something right, and I'm doing a great job.

It also means that I don't really have to adjust much. I'll get to know that repeat customer well and I'll know what he/she does and doesn't like. Working will be much easier in that kind of set-up.

Also, this repeat customer may spread the word and refer me to his close friends. Word of mouth can do wonders to my business. :)

    ^^

I voted 10 new customers daily because that's what you'd need first if you were trying to make a living online.

1 repeat customer weekly would come naturally if you were getting 10 new customers daily ;)

I hear you out and in the main agree your way will work many times... but by no means is this the only way!

How do I know well I started on the Internet from the virtual get go full time in 1995 and that is all I have done since those days. Plus of course I am just a 'Ordinary Joe' and I started with one repeat customer...

But one repeat customer was enough to get me going and keep me going on the net when I started...

True, one good customer can keep you afloat. But why not aim for 10 daily and 1 repeat per week :D

i think, you should focus on getting new 10 customers daily, then work on to provide better services/products and customer support, you will get repeat customer, even they refer more.
