I want you to upload the mysql dump to my server..
I'll pay you 10$ for it
What size is the database? Is thier a fault in the file (will it load), or do you just not work with mysql?
I will do it if you need help?
Let me know?
interested, send me the details
I just don't know how to use MYSQL...I got a database from this forum and I'm thinking of using that database...
This is the database
this database is not designed for a specific platform/cms like wordpress, you better get the data converted first... according to whatever you want to use all this data with...
I told OP this a couple of times. It would be a simple task to reformat the tables if he had a destination in mind, but it's not so easy to implement it so it works with blogging software.
I'm a IM and I don't have any idea about this....
You have to have a website or a platform of some sort to upload it to.. you can't just upload a database and have a functioning website
uploading is easy--- but to access it you will need to write some code to match the format of the database
if you are going to use it, and even PAY to have it
uploaded, then at least you could have clicked the
on the tab in the post made by that guy.
no one is forced to click it, but then again
no one is forced to share it, so in the spirit or
caring and sharing.......
It was very generous of him to share it IMHO,
and I think that that at least you could have clicked
So, you know what to do in future? if you find something usefull?
So basically you need a WP site developed based on that DB? if it is so..let me know i will quote you on that accordingly.
I have a WP site. I just want to get the database uploaded so that I can use it. You have to make it functional for usage.
I have posted in the original thread, and I will currently explore the adaptaption of this database to a standard wordpress table. More to come.
When I am done, if you would like this imported into your database, I'll do it, but considering I am putting forth the effort to adapt the database, the price will be $20. I'll let you know when I have a wordpress database, and you can let me know if you want it.
I will be exploring the current database to see if their are things I can add to it, though I probably won't add them tonight. For example, categories. However, I will likely correct the error with artists.
Cheers for now!
In case anyone wants to follow my progress as I get closer to adapting this to a standard wordpress database you may review it at:
Interested in this aswell and will be following your blog.
If this still available send me the details .
I have posted in the original thread of the op that I have constructed a simple working wordpress database that can be easily imported into an EMPTY blog - meaning it can't have ANY posts.
I have also posted the macros-based excel spreadsheet I used to alter the basic format of the original database. There are relatively easy but time consuming additions that could be made to this by adding OTHER tables within the database.
For example, you could categorize them, alphabetize them, group them by genre. But honestly to rebuild the entire table into a format for wordpress that would give it full dexterity is worth a whole lot more than $10.
It took me ten hours to learn how to do this, but alas - I did it. Thanks to the original op, and BIG G. Anyway, check the original thread for details on how to solve your problems with this database.
