True Story: http://www.logogarden.com/blog/branding/negative-seo-victim-strikes-back/

LogoGarden offer's that amount of cash for the one, who find's the other one who spammed them with bad links
Good luck! You'll need it, because it's almost impossible to find / or prove it.

P.S. LogoGarden paid SlingShotSEO.com 10.000$ a month for SEO, without getting a report, and they didn't bought links in their opinion. Ohh yeahh baby! This is how a SEO Company with ~100 employees, from a Seomoz recommendation, "works" ;)

From the comments

We're spending $10K/mo with our SEO firm.

And that 10k/month is going down the drain because our BS SEO firm has no idea what they're doing. If they were real pros, logogarden wouldn't be offering people $10,000 to find the spammer who 'bowled' their site...

I almost feel like bombing the shit out of their site too but thats not my line of business... That is not how I operate :)

yeah this is common thing happening today. If some body want to let competitor down ,then they are blasting backlinks to the them.In turn it results in spam and you can see drop in google rankings.

LoL and that's a sad lol... nowadays SEO means this: You're on the fifth spot and you want to get to the #1 spot. What to do?! Well easy, you blast top 5 sites with ridiculous amounts of links and presto. If you're not first you're definitely in top 3. Rinse and repeat until you're first.

Let's do SEO :|. Fuck you Google and FUUUUUUCK you Matt Cutts.

Basically he hired SEO firms that used blackhat techniques, and now Penguin has slapped his site.

That's how I interpret it.

Well,I used to work as a link builder for that SEO firm and trust me the link building was way too tough. They have very strict criteria for building links like only relevant niche, less than 25 OBL etc etc.
They only allowed blog posts, forum posting and article writing in their link building but because of this i guess they stopped blog and forum posting and now only works on article writing. They also fired all the link builders and now only have article writers.

Talk about a cry baby's faux story.

Does everyone see what it going on?

The owner of this website is using his story as a way to cleverly garner backlinks. Look at how many people are backlinking to his website because of his $10k bounty based on nothing more than sensationalism.

Guaranteed he's NOT going to pay that $10k to anyone.

How do I know?

Because the fathom BH Negative SEO perpetrator does not exist.

Anyone doing SEO knows that his site could have lost rankings for any number of reasons.

I've got to give it to him, the $10k strategy is BRILLIANT and will get him plenty of publicity and backlinks.

That is most likely what happened and he flipped to script to his advantage.

They wanted no report because they wanted no evidence, LOL.

I was working for Slingshot SEO and i Know, that budget was more than 10000 USD and we had 5 keywords to work on it.

Decent anaylsis Crewchief007. Definitley makes sense!

Pains me to see companies like SlingShotSEO take in $10'000/month from noobs. It really does. :D

Let's all go to Fiverr and spam the crap out of his site. (Just kidding!) Bahaha!

He probably did get hit and he probably knows you cant find the person who did unless you know exactly who did it.

He is just doing this for links and press

lol, there were some client who were paying $30000/month for the SEO.:)

Hmmmm... like the others here, I'm beyond skeptical. Why would they be targeted when they're just #6? You'd think their competitor would spam the people above them. No chance their SEO company created the backlinks.... ;)

If you were honestly paying someone 10k a month for white hat seo, you are being ripped off beyond all measure. White hat seo is literally waiting around, and not doing any linking. -_- its crafting link-bait, and SEO companies don't do that. Artists and writers do.

10k for their SEO company to build high PR backlinks in footers, site-wide. 10k for them to build links that make up a 50% link density. Well well well.

Slingshot does.

SEO is no longer about just throwing up links and hoping they stick and move the needle. SEO companies that just build links aren't really SEO companies - their link builders. SEO is about content, it's about social, it's about architecture, it's about links, it's about long-term strategy. Companies don't pay $10k, $30k, $50k, a month for links...they pay it for the overall strategy, guidance, and leadership that it takes not to just rank, not to just drive traffic, but to be relevant in a very volatile marketing channel.
